8、r carbon-steel and aluminium. For CrNi-steel the plate thickness may be smaller by 2 mm (minimal thickness 3 mm)If not otherwise specified on the Mechanical Data Sheet. Tolerances for the baffle diameter are +1/-0 mm (to be shown on fabrication drawings by manufacturer!)During assembly of the heat e
9、xchanger the baffles may be ground - as far as required - by maximum the values shown in this column. The extent of reduction by grinding and the circumference-angle-location in a segment shall be included in the workshop test report.For No Tubes in the Windows Type*: For transverse baffles accordin

For support plates between transverse baffles according to figure 24 Spacing and Arrangement of Support Plates and BafflesBaffle SpacingBaffles normally shall be spaced uniformly, spanning the effective tube length. If this is not possible, the baffles near to the tubesheets shall be
11、located as close as practical to the shell nozzles. The remaining baffles shall be spaced uniformly. The spacing shall be in conformity with the requirements of the process calculation.Spacing of the Support Plates and Baffles for Kettle-Type-EvaporatorFor Kettle-type-evaporators A =750 mm may not b
12、e exceeded. For critical Kettle-type-evaporators such as quench oil versus water resp. steam A = 500 mm shall be used.U-Tube Rear SupportThe support plates adjacent to the bends in ll-tube exchangers shall be located in the way, that for any individual bend the sum of the bend diameter and the strai
13、ght length, measured along both legs from the support to bend tangents does not exceed the maximal spacing (span) acc. to Table 3.Additional Support for U-BendsFor U-Bend diameter according following table additional measures for support of the U-Bends has to be provided by the manufacturer.
