It can increase the students5 ability of listening and speaking by reviewing the present continuous tense and

3、learning the new structures.Teaching aimsKnowledge objectsTo make the Ss know how to use the key sentences “How is the weather. . .To study the new words: weather, rain, rainy, sunny, etc. by learning the dialogue in this lesson.Ability objectsTo develop the Ss abilities of listening and speaking.To

4、 train the Ss ability of working in pairs and groups.To develop the Ss abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.Emotion objectsTo train the students to love our nation, and develop their good character.The key points of this lesson;First of all, study and use the sentence pattern

5、 -Hows the weather in.? -Its rainy.-What are they doing?-They are playing basketball in the park.Secondly, teach the Ss how to study independently as well as by cooperation.Difficult points:Make dialogues about the weather. 6、ntsThe Ss have learned English for more than half a year so far. They can understand some words and some simple sentences. The Ss have showed great interests in English now. But the students are lack of vocabularies.Most of them dont often use English to communicate with others. Some of them are not

7、 active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes. In order to encourage them to express themselves in front of others, IH create some real situations fbr them to practice the key words and structures.Teaching methodsTask-based Teaching MethodThe Situational Teaching MethodAs we all kn

8、ow: the main aims of learning English in middle school is to cultivate students5 basic four skills and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use Task-based” teaching method and the situational method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations and fin

9、ish tasks by making dialogs to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structures .And in this lesson ,communication method will be needed.learning methodsIn this lesson, Ill mainly use the group cooperative learning method and the preview learning method Ill let them work in groups and

10、 pairs to practice the knowledge they have learned. In this way, they can learn better. Working in groups or pairs can also improve their ability of communication.Before we learn a new lesson, I always ask them to preview it. After they preview the new lesson, they can learn about the lesson and kno

11、w the important and difficult points. And then, they will concentrate more on the knowledge that they dont understand well. How is the weather? The teacher helps Ss understand the word: weathe

13、r. And guide the Ss to make the answer: Its raining.Then show some other pictures, ask the question:How is the weather? Help the Ss answer:-Its snowy/windy/sunny/cloudy.In this course, Ss can understand the main contents of this dialogue and get the key points.Then finish la and lb, first match ,the

14、n listen.Step 3 guessing gameFil use CAI to show some pictures. They are covered. Let students guess how the weather is.I think the game is interesting. The Ss will take part in it actively.Step 4 Listening practiceJim is talking with Linda on the phone. What are they talking about? Now, look at the

15、 pictures in 2a, Listen and number the pictures 1-4 .Listen again. Match the names with the activities.Ask some pairs to show their conversations.Step 5 Group work_3bIn group of six, look at the pictures in 3b. One student is Yuanyuan from CCTV. Hell interview other five students.How is the weather?

16、 What are the doing? First make a dialogue then written down the answers in the chart.Step 6 Showing time-Weather reportShow a weather map of China. Get Ss to make a weather report as a CCTV anchor.
