intheircanoes,guidedbythestars,thecolorofskyandthesun,theshapesofc
andthepresenceofbirdsmakingflightsouttoseaseekingfood.ThePolynesiansfi
arrivedontheislandin499A.D.However,theoceancurrentswhichcarriedthemthere
