Abstract
TheoutbreakoftheCovid-19pandemichasattractedworldwideattention.Atthesametime,thesharpdeclineoftheglobaleconomyhashadfar-reachingimpactsonthecarbonemissiontradingmarket.Thispaperselectslistedcompaniesastheresearchobject,studiestheirperformanceinthecarbonemissiontradingmarketduringthepandemic,revealstheimpactofthepandemiconthecarbonemissiontradingmarket,andexploresthebusinessstrategiesoflistedcompaniesinthiscontext.
Thispaperadoptsfinancialdataanalysismethodandtime-seriespaneldatamethodtostudytheimpactofthepandemiconthecarbonemissiontradingmarketoflistedcompanies.Firstly,bycomparingthefinancialindicatorsoflistedcompaniesbeforeandafterthepandemic,theimpactofthepandemicontheirfinancialstatusisrevealed.Then,throughtheanalysisoflistedcompanies’carbonemissiontradingduringthepandemic,theimpactofthepandemiconthecarbonemissiontradingmarketisrevealed.Finally,combinedwiththebusinessstrategiesoflistedcompanies,thecopingmeasuresoflistedcompaniesinthepandemicareanalyzed.
Theresearchresultsshowthatthepandemichassignificantlyaffectedthefinancialstatusandcarbonemissiontradingmarketoflistedcompanies.Thefinancialstatusoflistedcompaniesduringthepandemicwasgenerallydifficult,andthetradingvolumeandtradingpriceofthecarbonemissiontradingmarketalsofluctuatedsignificantly.Atthesametime,thestudyalsofoundacertaincorrelationbetweenthebusinessstrategiesoflistedcompaniesandtheirperformanceinthecarbonemissiontradingmarket.Somecompanieshaveachievedgoodperformanceincarbonemissiontradingbyincreasinginvestmentandinnovationtoenhancetheircompetitiveness.
