动名词(Gerunds)动名词在句中可作主语、表语、定语和宾语。具体用法如下:主语TeachingEnglishatmiddleschoolismyfull-timejob.It'sawasteoftimearguingwithhim.注释:1不定式和动名词都可用作句子的主语,含义基本一样。只是表示具体、特指的动作时,用不定式更多见:表示抽象、泛指的动作时,用动名词更多见。2Itisnouse/nogood/awasteoftimedoingsth做某事没有用处、没有好处、是浪费时间。在该结构中应用动名词作主语。表语Theirjobisbuildinghouses.Hishobbyispainting.注释:1不定式和动名词作表语含义基本一样。具体、特指的事情多用不定式,习惯、泛指的事情多用动名词。2动名词作表语相当于名词,主语和表语的位置可以互换,而现在分词作表语相当于形容词,不可以与主语调换位置。如:MyjobisteachingEnglish=TeachingEnglishismyjob
