Formostofthedevelopingcountries,itisagoodideatocontrolthepopulationgrowth.Forexample,Chinahascarriedoutbirthcontrolforyears.Andthisplanhasagreateffectontheworldpopulation.

Ifthepopulationcontinuestoincrease,iftheairandwatercontinuetobepolluted,ifwedon'tdosomethingtoprotectwild-plantandwildlifespecieswillbedeclining.Speciesandbiologicalcommunitieshavedifficultyadaptingtochange.Economicopportunitiesandthequalityoflifeoffuturegenerationsarealsoputatrisk.Byprotectingnature,weprotectourselves.
