convince,persuade与advise区分

这两个词都能够表示“说服;使信服”。其区分是:

(1)convince着重情感上“敦促、劝说”,它所要求主语能够是人,也能够是事物。比如:Hersmileconvincedhimthatshewashappy.她微笑使他确信她是幸福。

(2)persuade着重理智方面“辩论,证实”,所要求主语一定是人,而不可能是事物。convince与persuade结构相同,即persuade/convincesb.that...;persuade/convincesb.ofsth.。persuade和convince都表示结果,即说服了;若表示“说服”或“劝说”动作,惯用trytopersuade/convince,也可用advise。比如:

(3)advise只是表示劝说动作,而不强调结果,但persuade不但表示劝说动作,同时又强调有结果。从词义上说,advise只是“劝说”,persuade意思是“说服,劝服”,它强调了“劝说”结果。比如:
