Englishisnowusedbynearlyaquarteroftheworld'spopulation.英语现在正被近四分之一的世界人口使用。①quarter名词,意为“四分之一;一刻钟”。eg:Therearefourofus,sowecuttheorangeintoquartersandeacheatsapiece.我们共有四个人,因此我们把橘子切成四等份,每人吃一份。Pleasewaitforaquarter.请等一刻钟。【拓展】分数表达法:分子是基数词,分母是序数词,当分子超过一的时候,分母应用复数,并且二分之一通常用ahalf,四分之一通常用a/onequarter,四分之三常用threequarters。【注意】分数修饰可数名词作主语时,谓语动词用复数;修饰不可数名词时,谓语动词用单数。eg:Fourfifthsofthepeopleareworkingonthefarmnow.五分之四的人正在农场工作。②population名词,意为“人口;人口数量”。表示某地区的人口时,要在其前加定冠词the。【注意】①population作主语,谓语动词用单数形式。②其前有分数或百分数时,谓语动词用复数形式。③询问“人口多少”有两种方式:What'sthepopulationof...?Howlargeisthepopulationof...?④表示人口“多少”要用large或small来修饰。chance可数名词,意为“机会”,常用于以下结构中:haveachancetodosth.=haveachanceofdoingsth.有做某事的机会一、根据句意及汉语提示写单词,每空一词。1.—What
