MetallurgicalGroupCo.,Ltd.jointlywithrelatedcompaniesundertheorganizationofChina
MetallurgicalConstructionAssociation.
DuringestablishmentoftheCode,thepreparationgrouphasstudiedrelatedcurrentnational
laws,regulationsandstandards;madeextensiveandin-depthinvestigation;concludedmanyyears
experienceintheinstallationacceptanceofsteel-makingmechanicalequipment;widelysoughtthe
advicesfromrelatedcompaniesandexperts;repeatedlydiscussed,revisedandenhancedthe

Inordertostrengthenthemanagementofinstallationqualityofsteel-makingmechanical
equipment,unifythestandardfortheacceptanceofengineeringinstallationqualityandensurethe
engineeringquality,thisCodeisherebyestablished.

TheCodeshallbeapplicabletotheengineeringinstallationqualityacceptanceofconverter,
electricarcfurnace,secondaryrefiningequipment,continuoussteel-castingmechanicalequipment
andauxiliarysteel-makingmechanicalequipment,etc.

Therequirementforinstallationqualityintheengineeringtechnicaldocumentsandthe
contracttobeappliedduringtheinstallationofsteel-makingmechanicalequipmentshallnotbe
lowerthanthatinthisCode.

Duringtheinstallationqualityacceptanceofsteel-makingmechanicalequipment,notonly
theregulationsofthisCodebutalsothoseoftherelatedcurrentnationalstandardsshallbe

2BasicRequirements
2.0.1
Theconstructioncontractorforinstallationofsteel-makingmechanicalequipmentshallbe
qualifiedtoundertaketheconstructionofthiskindofworks.Theconstructionsiteshallbe
providedwithcorrespondingconstructiontechnicalstandards,completequalitymanagementsystem
andqualitycontrolandinspectionsystemsaswellassuchtechnicaldocumentsapprovedbythe
technicaldirectoroftheprojectasconstructionorganizationplan,methodstatementand
constructiondesign.
2.0.2
Incaseofrevisionofconstructiondrawings,thedesignchangenoticefromthedesign
contractorortechnicalconfirmationattestationshallbeacquiredinadvance.
2.0.3
Incaseofinspectionandacceptanceofengineeringinstallationqualityofsteel-makingmechanical
equipment,themeasuringinstrumenttobeusedmustbeverifiedandcalibratedasqualified.
2.0.4Thewelderresponsibleforweldingworkduringtheinstallationofsteel-makingmechanical
equipmentmustpasstherelatedexaminationandacquirethecorrespondingcertificate,andonlycarry
outweldingwithinthescopespecifiedandapprovedbytheaboveexaminationhe/shepassed.
2.0.5专用
Theinstallationofsteel-makingmechanicalequipmentshallbecarriedoutandhandedover
amongvariousspecialtieswithrecordaccordingtospecifiedprocedures.Thequalitycontrolshallbe
carriedouttoeachworkingprocedureaccordingtotheconstructiontechnicalstandard,andafter
completionofeachworkingprocedure,thequalityshallbeinspectedwithrecord.Iftheprevious
procedurehasnotpassedinspection,thefollowingprocedurecannotbecarriedout.

Incaseofsecondarygroutingandotherconcealedworksofequipmentduringinstallationof
steel-makingmechanicalequipment,theconstructioncontractorshallinformrelatedcontractorsto
carryoutacceptanceandpreparetheacceptancedocumentaccordinglypriortotheconcealedwork.
2.0.7
Theengineeringinstallationqualityacceptanceofsteel-makingmechanicalequipmentshall
beperformedonthebasisoftheselfinspectionofconstructioncontractoraswellassubdivisional
works,sub-unitworksandunitworks.Thesub-unitworksandsubdivisionalworksshouldbe
dividedaccordingtotherequirementofTable2.0.7.Theunitworkscanbedividedintothe
followingcontentsbasedonprocesssystems:installationofmechanicalconverter,electricarc
furnace,ladlerefiningfurnace(LF),vacuumladlerefiningfurnace(VD),vacuumoxygen
decarburizationco人人文库nverter(VOD),recirculationvacuumdegassingrefiningfurnace(RH),argon
oxygendecarburizationrefiningfurnace(AOD)andcontinuoussteel-castingmechanical
equipment.

Theno-loadcombinedtestrunofequipmentshallbequalified.

Theappearancequalityshallpasstheacceptance.

Incaseofacceptance,theappearancequalityinspectionitemsoftheunitworksshall
conformtothefollowingrequirements:

Connectingbolts:Thebolts,nutsandwashersshallbefullyequippedaccordingtothe
design.Afterfastened,theboltshallbewiththeexposednutorflushedwiththenut.Theexposed
threadshallbefreeofdamageandthepenetratingdirectionofthreadshallbeconsistentunless
otherwiselimitedbythestructuralreasons.

Sealingconditions:Freeofobviousoil,waterorgasleakage.

Pipelaying:Reasonablelayoutandorderlyarrangement.

Soundinsulationandthermalinsulatingmateriallaying:Un专用iformthickness,solidbound,
relativelysmoothsurface.
