论坛写作环境下英语专业学生的思维能力发展研究的开题报告AbstractWiththeincreasingpopularityofonlineforums,forumwritinghasbecomeanimportantlearningactivityforEnglishmajorstudents.Forumwritingnotonlyenhanceslanguageproficiency,butalsocultivatesstudents’thinkingability.ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatehowforumwritinginfluencesthedevelopmentofthinkingabilityamongEnglishmajorstudents.Thestudywilladoptaqualitativeresearchmethod,includingdocumentanalysis,onlinequestionnaireandsemi-structuredinterviews.ThefindingsofthisstudywillcontributetotheunderstandingoftheimpactofforumwritingonEnglishmajorstudents’thinkingabilitydevelopment.Keywords:forumwriting,thinkingability,Englishmajorstudents,qualitativeresearchIntroductionForumwritingisanimportantlearningactivityforEnglishmajorstudentsinhighereducationinstitutions.Thisactivityrequiresstudentstosharetheirthoughtsandideasonaparticulartopicwithothersintheforum.Throughforumwriting,studentscannotonlyimprovetheirlanguageproficiencybutalsodeveloptheirthinkingability.Intheprocessofforumwriting,studentsarerequiredtoanalyze,evaluate,andsummarizetheinformationtheyread,andthenexpresstheirownopinionsandideas.Thisprocesscanhelpstudentstocultivatecriticalthinkingskills,analyticalskills,andproblem-solvingskills.Inaddition,forumwritingprovidesaplatformforstudentstocommunicatewithpeers,engageindiscussionsanddebates,andevenchallengetheirownideas,whichcancontributetothedevelopmentoftheircognitiveabilities.However,thereislimitedresearchontheimpactofforumwritingonEnglishmajorstudents’thinkingabilitydevelopment.Therefore,thisstudyaimstoexploretheeffectofforumwritingonthedevelopmentofEnglishmajorstudents’thinkingabilities,andtodeterminehowforumwritingcanbemoreeffectivelyutilizedtopromotelearningoutcomes.ResearchQuestionsThefollowingresearchquestionswillbeaddressedinthisstudy:1.WhatistheimpactofforumwritingonthedevelopmentofEnglishmajorstudents’thinkingabilities?2.HowcanforumwritingbemoreeffectivelyutilizedtoenhanceEnglishmajorstudents'thinkingabilities?MethodologyThisstudywilladoptaqualitativeresearchmethod.Datawillbecollectedthroughonlinequestionnaires,semi-structuredinterviewsanddocumentanalysis.Theonlinequestionnairewillbeusedtogatherbasicinformationaboutparticipants,suchasage,gender,andacademicbackground.Thequestionnairewillalsoincludequestionsrelatedtoforumwritingexperienceandperceivedbenefits.TheonlinequestionnairewillbedistributedtoEnglishmajorstudentswhohaveexperienceinforumwriting.Semi-structuredinterviewswillbeconductedwithasampleofEnglishmajorstudentswhohaveextensiveexperienceinforumwriting.Theinterviewswillbefocusedonexploringtheparticipants’perceptionoftheimpactofforumwritingontheirthinkingabilitydevelopment.Participantswillbeencouragedtosharetheirexperiencesandgivefeedbackonhowtoimprovetheeffectivenessofforumwriting.Documentanalysiswillbecarriedoutonforumwritingsamplestoexaminehowstudents’thinkingabilitiesarereflectedinthewriting.Thisanalysiswillfocusoncriticalthinkingskills,analyticalskills,andproblem-solvingskillsinstudents’writing.Datacollectedthroughonlinequestionnairesandsemi-structuredinterviewswillbeanalyzedusingthematicanalysis.Thisanalysiswillinvolveidentifyingthemesandpatternsinthedatacollected,andthencategorizingandinterpretingthem.Thefocuswillbeonidentifyinganysimilaritiesordifferencesinresponses,anddrawingconclusionsbasedonthefindings.ExpectedOutcomesThisstudyaimstoexploretheimpactofforumwritingonthedevelopmentofEnglishmajorstudents’thinkingabilities.Theexpectedoutcomesofthisstudyare:1.TogainanunderstandingoftheeffectofforumwritingonEnglishmajorstudents’thinkingabilitydevelopment.2.ToidentifytheperceivedbenefitsandchallengesofforumwritinginEnglishmajorstudents’thinkingabilitydevelopment.3.ToidentifythefactorsthatcontributetotheeffectivenessofforumwritinginEnglishmajorstudents’thinkingabilitydevelopment.ConclusionThisstudywillcontributetotheunderstandingoftheimpactofforumwritingonEnglishmajorstudents’thinkingabilitydevelopment.Thestudywillgenerateusefulinsightsonthefactorsthatcontributetotheeffectivenessofforumwritinginpromotingcr
