DepartmentofSpecialEducationandCounsellingSpecialSchoolPlacementScheme2018日期活動2018年3月1日第一次簡介會(大埔校園)計劃簡介介紹特殊學校背景、種類簡介特殊學校任職(啟導)老師的角色,對準老師的期望及要求2018年3月22日第二次簡介會(九龍塘真光中學)講解實習注意事項及對職前老師之要求教大職前老師與小組導師第一次會面2018年4月開始聯絡學校以收集資料製定工作時間表,實習前交表格(三)第一日至第五日教大職前老師自行到獲派的特殊學校報到參觀學校訪問校長、教學團隊和教學支援團隊訪問,如:教育心理學家、駐校社工等等教大職前老師會觀察同一班房的學生於不同課堂中的表現教大之前老師會觀察期到老師在不同課堂中的教學,並為啟導老師提供支援及輔助教學準備課堂教具訪問老師和教學支援團隊每星期安排一次與小組導師會面第六日至第十日教大職前老師會進行試教,以協作教學或獨自教學(須為修讀教育學位)(建議每天於不少於兩節課堂中試教,詳情可與啟導老師商議)每星期安排一次與小組導師會面第十一日至第十五日教大職前老師會進行試教()(建議每天於不少於兩節課堂中試教,詳情可與啟導老師商議)啟導老師會與教大職前老師面談資料分析及完成表格(一至三)開始準備匯報及反思(800字)每星期安排一次與小組導師會面暑假前(日子待定)匯報分享會(大埔校園)2018年6月25日功課繳交日期BasicProfessionalAttributesRequiredbyStudentTeachersTheInstitutehasconductedasurveyentitled“TheImportanceofCoreCompetenciesofFutureTeachers”withtheaimofsolicitingtheschools’opinionsonthecorecompetenciesoffutureteachers.Morethan1,000responseswerecollectedthatshowedthetopfivecorecompetenciesvaluedmostbytheprincipalsas“PositivePersonality”,“PositiveWorkingAttitude”,“CooperationandTeamwork”,“InterpersonalSkills”and“ProfessionalKnowledgeandSkills”.Theseguidelineswerewrittenwithaviewtoprovidingsomeconcreteexamplesonhowtorealizetheattributesthroughdailyworkintheschoolsetting.Thiswillhelpourstudentteacherstobecometeacherswhocanmeetthechallengesofthejobenvironmentandfulfillexpectationsfromtheeducationsector.1.1.PositivePersonalityfortheProfessionStudentBasicProfessionalAttributes2.PositiveAttitude3.Intrapersonal,Interpersonal,SocialandBuildingSkills1PossessingPositivePersonalityfortheTeachingProfessionDo’sDon’tsBeopentoavarietyofexperiencesKeepintellectualcuriosityandbecreativeViewthingsonlyfromyourownperspectiveTreatteachingasroutineworkRelyonaskingforadviceandsupportfromSupportingTeacher(s)foreverythingBe\hself-disciplinedAct\hdutifullyandpurposefullySpendtoolittletimetomanageyourselfWorkwithoutcarefulplanningBeconfidentBeoutgoing/energeticinengagingyourselfBeuneasytoworkwithothersBepassiveBecompassionateand\hcooperative\hBesuspiciousandnegativetowardsothersBeunhappy,angry,depressedandoffensiveBeEmotionallystable(well-temperedandpatient)Notseekinghelpifyoufacegreatanxiety,areangryand/ordepressedPossessingPositiveWorkAttitudetowardstheTeachingDutiesassignedbySchoolDo’sDon’tsBealwayscommittedtofull-timeteachingworkinschoolandtaketheinitiativeandeveryopportunitytoengageintheschoollife.BeawareofandfollowtheInstituteandschool’sleaveapplicationprocedures.Askforpriorapprovalforanyleaveassoonaspossible.Incaseofsickleave,taketheinitiativetocalltheschoolassoonaspossible.Belatetoschool,toclassortakeearlyleavewithoutvalidreasons.Takenapsanduseelectronicdevices,suchasplayinggames,watchingvideosorusingWhatsApponsmartphonesorotherdevices,inschoolduring/afterlessonsinschool.DisregardtheschoolleaveapplicationproceduresBeresponsibleandwell-preparedforyourlessonsaccordingtotheguidelinesandcurriculumoftheschool.Beirresponsibleanduncommitted,suchasnotmakingeffortinpreparinglessonsaftertheFEsupervisionvisitsaredone/over.Beunresponsivetotheinstructions/adviceofSupportingTeacher(s).Becommittedtothedutiesassignedbytheschool.Beactiveinparticipatinginschoolfunctions,suchastheschoolpicnic,parents’day,openday,etc.Bereluctanttotakeupnon-teachingduties,suchasextracurricularactivities.Beahumbleandactivelearner(e.g.followtheinstructionsoftheLinkTeacherandSupportingTeacher(s);co-operatewiththemandtakeonsuggestionsformakingimprovements.).TaketheinitiativetogetfeedbackfromtheSupportingTeacher(s)andimprove.Demonstratelowmotivation,poorworking/passivelearningattitude.Behesitanttoseekadvice/helpfromSupportingTeacher(s).ShowreluctanceintakingadviceandfeedbackinfollowinginstructionsoftheLinkTeacherandSupportingTeacher(s),orinchangingforthebetterway.22.
