TheuseofshieldedcablesforconnectionofthemonitortothegraphicscardisrequiredtoassurecompliancewithFCCregulations.Changesormodificationstothisunitnotexpresslyapprovedbythepartyresponsibleforcompliancecouldvoidtheuser’sauthoritytooperatethisequipment.

Safetyinformation

Electricalsafety

•Topreventelectricalshockhazard,disconnectthepowercablefromtheelectricaloutletbeforerelocatingthesystem.

•Whenaddingorremovingdevicestoorfromthesystem,ensurethatthepowercablesforthedevicesareunpluggedbeforethesignalcablesareconnected.Ifpossible,disconnectallpowercablesfromtheexistingsystembeforeyouaddadevice.

•Beforeconnectingorremovingsignalcablesfromthemotherboard,ensurethatallpowercablesareunplugged.

•Seekprofessionalassistancebeforeusinganadapterorextensioncord.Thesedevicescouldinterruptthegroundingcircuit.

•Makesurethatyourpowersupplyissettothecorrectvoltageinyourarea.Ifyouarenotsureaboutthevoltageoftheelectricaloutletyouareusing,contactyourlocalpowercompany.

•Ifthepowersupplyisbroken,donottrytofixitbyyourself.Contactaqualifiedservicetechnicianoryourretailer.

Operationsafety

•Beforeinstallingthemotherboardandaddingdevicesonit,carefullyreadallthemanualsthatcamewiththepackage.

•Beforeusingtheproduct,makesureallcablesarecorrectlyconnectedandthepowercablesarenotdamaged.Ifyoudetectanydamage,contactyourdealerimmediately.

•Toavoidshortcircuits,keeppaperclips,screws,andstaplesawayfromconnectors,slots,socketsandcircuitry.

•Avoiddust,humidity,andtemperatureextremes.Donotplacetheproductinanyareawhereitmaybecomewet.

•Placetheproductonastablesurface.

TheC.P.R.featureofthemotherboardBIOSallowsautomaticre-settingtotheBIOSdefaultsettingsincasethesystemhangsduetooverclocking.Whenthesystemhangsduetooverclocking,C.P.R.eliminatestheneedtoopenthesystemchassisandcleartheRTCdata.Simplyrebootthesystemtorestorethepreviouslysavedsettings.

ASUSEZFlashBIOS

Noteofthefollowingprecautionsbeforeyouinstallmotherboardcomponentsorchangeanymotherboardsettings.

• Unplugthepowercordfromthewallsocketbeforetouchinganycomponent.

• Useagroundedwriststraportouchasafelygroundedobjectortoametalobject,suchasthepowersupplycase,beforehandlingcomponentstoavoiddamagingthemduetostaticelectricity.

• HoldcomponentsbytheedgestoavoidtouchingtheICsonthem.

• Wheneveryouuninstallanycomponent,placeitonagroundedantistaticpadorinthebagthatcamewiththecomponent.

• Beforeyouinstallorremoveanycomponent,ensurethattheATXpowersupplyisswitchedofforthepowercordisdetachedfromthepowersupply.Failuretodosomaycauseseveredamagetothemotherboard,peripherals,and/orcomponents.
