Description

TheCoMoLogicisay(t)ControlMonitorwiththreereal-timethresholdsandelementarypost-cyclecurveanalysisfunction.Thefollowingoperatingmodesareavailable:'GRAPHIC'fordisplayingthey(t)signalcharacteristics,'TREND'fordisplay-ingthelast118peaksofthecycleand'PEAK'withnumericaldisplayofthecyclepeak.

The'INSTANT'modeisprovidedforinstallationandadjust-ment.Thisdisplaystheactualvalueandthepeakcontinuously,andallowsthe'SENSITIVITY'tobeadjustedduringmeasure-ment.

ItcanbeoperatedwiththefrontpanelcontrolsorwithaPLC

viathedigitalI/O.Ananalogmonitoroutputwiththescaled

sensorsignalisavailableforexternaldataacquisition.Eight

setsofparametersmakeiteasiertochangeoverbetween5875A_000-492e-04.11differentoperatingmodesandapplications.

Inatypicalinstallationahighimpedance,chargemodeforceorstrainsensorprovidessignalinput.Fourver-sionsoftheunitacceptchargemodeinputsinrangesof±5000pC…±500000pC.

Design

TheCoMoLogicmonitorconsistsofameasuringandadisplayunit,eachcontrolledbyamicroprocessor.

Themeasuringunit(monitor)scalesthesensorsignalandmonitorsthesignalcharacteristicsatasamplingrateof10kHz.Wheneverdefinedreal-timeevents,suchasthresholdsbeingexceeded,occurinthecycle,theassociateddigitaloutputsaresetimmediately.

Afterthecyclethecurveisanalyzedandthedigitaloutputsassignedtothecorrespondingpost-cycleeventsareset.Themeasuredvaluesarethentransferredtothedisplayunit(graphiccontroller),whichdisplaysthemingraphicalornu-mericalformdependingontheselectedmode.Amemorywith480measurementsisavailablefordisplayingthey(t)signalcharacteristics.

Basicallyonlysignalsthatarealwayspositiveoralwaysnega-tivecanbeacquiredandanalyzed.Signalsthatpassthroughzeroduringthecycle,e.g.whenacompressionforcechangestoatensionforce,canonlybeevaluatedifthesignischangedviadigitalinput2Polarityatthispoint.

Themonitoroutputdeliversthesensorsignalscaledto±10Vfortheselectedrange'RANGE'andmechanicalunit'UNIT'.Thebehaviourofthemonitoroutputdependsonthesetting‘MONITOROUT’asfollows:

'PEAK'Atcycleendavoltageissetcorrespondingto

DigitalInputs

OnedigitalinputisavailableforMeasure,oneforthepolarityofthesensorsignalandoneforHold.Threeothersallowasetofparameterstobechosen(binarycoded).

TheMeasuredigitalinputcanbedefinedontheDI-ACT-STATEmenuas'ACTIVEON'or'ACTIVEOFF'(nocurrent).IfMeasureisdefinedas‘ACTIVEOFF’,andwhenthemonitorisswitchedonanddigitalinput1(pin2)isopen,ameasuringcycleisstarted.ThiscanbeterminatedwiththeMEASbutton.AtthesametimeMeasureisresettoACTIVEON.AllotherdigitalinputsarepermanentlyACTIVEON.

DigitalOutputs

InadditiontoanoutputforDeviceReady,therearethreeconfigurableoutputsavailable,towhicheighteventspersetofparameterscanbeassigned.Oneoutputcanbeassignedtoseveraleventsatthesametime(logicalOR).

OntheDO-ACT-STATEmenuthedigitaloutputscanbedefinedcollectivelyas'ACTOPEN'or'ACTCLOSED'.TheoneexceptionistheReadyoutput,whichforsafetyreasons(powerfailure)ispermanentlydefinedasACTCLOSED.
