IEC60400:2017EN-FR“LampHoldersforTubularFluorescentLampsandStarterHolders”isastandarddevelopedbytheInternationalElectrotechnicalCommission(IEC)toensurethesafeandreliableuseoffluorescentlamps.Itcoversthedesign,construction,andtestingoflampholdersfortubularfluorescentlampsandstarterholders.

Lampholdersareessentialcomponentsoffluorescentlightingsystemsthatsecurethelampinplaceandprovideelectricalconnectionsforpoweringthelamp.Theymustbedesignedandconstructedtowithstandvariousconditionsandstressesencounteredinpracticaluse,suchasvibrations,temperaturevariations,andmechanicalshocks.

Thestandardspecifiesvariousrequirementsforlampholders,includingtheirmaterials,dimensions,electricalconnections,safetyfeatures,andtestingmethods.Italsoprovidesguidelinesfortheselectionandinstallationoflampholderstoensurecompatibilitywithdifferenttypesoffluorescentlampsandstarterdevices.
