齐德组王威廉:英文介绍迟恺，李昊然，陆佳琪:中文介绍新南威尔士大学创立于1949年。最初命名为新南威尔士科技大学（NewSouthWalesUniversityofTechnology），专注于工程学与科学。在1958年，为了适应大学的全面改革，使学校变成一个现代多元化的学府，校名改为新南威尔士大学（UniversityofNewSouthWales）。1960年学校创立了社会文科学院（FacultyofArtsandSocialSciences），随后1961年创立了医学院和1971年法学院。随后，新南威尔士大学法学院成立了多个法律资源中心：KingsfordLegalCentre、AustralianHumanRightsCentre、Gilbert+TobinCentreforPublicLaw、SocialJusticeProject和NationalProBonoResourceCentre。新的法学院大楼内设有专门的法律图书馆，已于2006年开始起用。现今，法学院已成为澳洲顶尖的法律学院之一。在过去的6年，5个UNSW的法律学生拿到了极具权威的RhodesScholarships。澳洲联邦宪法的修订，也由该校法学院的协助下完成。另外，法学院也包含了全澳洲最大的税务学校(Atax)。近年来也开设了澳大利亚与中国税制的专题研究项目和相关课程。澳洲联邦宪法的制订与修改,联邦及州政府的法律咨询也多出自该学院。[3]

新南威尔士大学为申请本科课程的留学生提供了预备课程，预备课程根据不同的专业设立不同的课程。预科学习的时间为1年。申请新南威尔士大学本科课程的中国高中毕业生均要求参加预科学习。预科课程的语言要求为雅思6分，对于没有达到该分数的申请人则要求在语言学校学习一段时间的英语。

在中国读完大学一年级的申请人不需要预科课程学习而直接进入大学本科课程。直接申请本科课程的申请人要求提供雅思6.5分的成绩且每单项分数不能少于6.0分，部分学科需要7分单项不低于6.5或托福575分。没有达到语言要求的申请人需要进入语言学校进修一段时间的语言。2002年6月，河北省教育厅与澳大利亚新南威尔士大学在河北省首届国际教育博览会上签订了长期合作协议。根据协议，双方将共同培养双语教学教育硕士。由省教育厅选拔已取得硕士研究生资格并完成双方共同商定的硕士课程的学生，推荐到新南威尔士大学，进行为期1年的学习，成绩合格颁发新南威尔士大学硕士学位证书及硕士毕业证书。该项目的学员将从河北师范大学、河北大学、燕山大学等学校的研究生班中选拔，每期40名左右。
