ExtendedContentProjectVII:CurveandSurfaceMeasurement[TaskIntroduction]Thebearingcoverpartdrawingisshowninthefigure.Thispartincludesmultipleshapeanddimensionalerrordetectionitems.Thetaskrequirestheuseofacoordinatemeasuringmachine(CMM)toperformtherelevantinspectionsandgenerateareport.[RelatedKnowledge]I.LinearProfileToleranceShapetoleranceitemsLabelingExampleInterpretationMeaningofInterpretationLinearProfileTolerancewithoutDatum

Thelinearprofiletoleranceofthemeasuredcurveis0.04mm.Inanysectionparalleltotheillustratedprojectionplane,theextracted(actual)profilelineshouldbeconfinedwithinthetwoenvelopelinesofaseriesofcircleswithadiameterof0.04mmandthecenterlocatedonthetheoreticalcorrectgeometryofthemeasuredfeature.LinearProfileToleranceRelativetoDatumSystem

ThelinearprofiletoleranceofthemeasuredcurverelativetodatumAanddatumBis0.04mm.Inanysectionparalleltotheillustratedprojectionplane,theextracted(actual)profilelineshouldbeconfinedwithinthetwoequidistantenvelopelinesofaseriesofcircleswithadiameterof0.04mmandthecenterlocatedonthetheoreticalcorrectgeometryofthemeasuredfeature,asdeterminedbydatumplaneAanddatumplaneB.[RelatedKnowledge]LinearProfileErrorandEvaluationLinearprofileerrorreferstothevariationoftheactualmeasuredfeaturerelativetotheidealfeature.Theconditionforacceptanceisthatthelinearprofileerrormustnotexceedthelinearprofiletolerancevalue.Inthemenubar,clickon“ShapeandPosition”→“LinearProfile,”andunderthe“Characteristics”functiontab,the“LinearProfile”iconwillappear.Double-clicktoopenthe“LinearProfile”dialogbox.Themeaningofeachiconinthisdialogboxisshowninthefigure.Selectthemeasuredfeatureatthe“Element”button,setthedatum,modifythelabelandtolerancevalues,andtheevaluationofthelinearprofileerroriscomplete.[RelatedKnowledge]II.SurfaceProfileToleranceShapetoleranceitemsLabelingExampleInterpretationMeaningofInterpretationSurfaceProfileTolerancewithoutDatum

Thesurfaceprofiletoleranceofthemeasuredsurfaceis0.02mm.

Theextracted(actual)profilesurfaceshouldbeconfinedwithintwoequidistantenvelopesurfaces,withadiameterof0.02mm,andthecenterlocatedonaseriesofsphericalsurfacesonthetheoreticallycorrectgeometricshapeofthemeasuredfeature.SurfaceProfileToleranceRelativetotheDatumSystem

Theextracted(actual)profilesurfaceshouldbeconfinedwithintwoequidistantenvelopesurfaces,withadiameterof0.1mm,andthecenterlocatedonaseriesofsphericalsurfacesonthetheoreticallycorrectgeometricshapeofthemeasuredfeaturedeterminedbydatumplaneA.[RelatedKnowledge]SurfaceProfileErrorandEvaluationThesurfaceprofileerrorreferstothevariationbetweentheactualmeasuredfeatureandtheidealfeature.Theacceptableconditionisthatthesurfaceprofileerrormustnotexceedthespecifiedsurfaceprofiletolerance.Inthemenubar,click"ShapeandPosition"→"SurfaceProfile",andthe"Profile"iconwillappearunderthe"Characteristics"tab.Double-clicktoopenthe"Profile"dialogbox.ThemeaningsoftheiconsinthisdialogboxareshowninFigure7-5.Inthe"Element"button,selectthemeasuredelement,setthedatum,andmodifytheidentifierandtolerancevaluetocompletetheevaluationofthesurfaceprofileerror.[TaskImplementation]Organizeandnumberthemeasurementitemsasshownintheleftfigure,andnumberthemeasuredelementsasshownintherightfigure.[TaskImplementation]Createameasurementitemtableasshowninthefigure.[TaskImplementation]II.

DeterminetheClampingSchemeBasedontheprinciplesofworkpiececlamping,adopttheclampingschemeshowninthefiguretoensurethatallelementscanbemeasuredinasingleclamping.[TaskImplementation]III.
