Atpresent,theworldisacceleratingtowardsaneweraofdigitizationandintelligenceinwhicheverythingisconnected,andthepatternofinformationservicesusheringinstructuralchangesdrivenby5G-Advanced(5G-A)technologies.Asakeystageintheevolutionfrom5Gto6G,5G-Aisbecomingthecoreengineforinformationservicesthroughatenfoldupgradeoftechnicalcapabilitiesandmulti-dimensionalintegrationandinnovation.Thiswhitepaperfocusesonthethree
-typesofnewintelligentservices—intelligentrobots,intelligentdevices,andintelligentconnectedvehicles—andsystematicallycompilestheirtypicalscenariorequirements,withtheaimofprovidingforward-lookingguidancefortheintelligentupgradingoftheindustry.Inaddition,thiswhitepaperalsofocusesonthescaledevelopmentofthethree-typesofnewintelligentservicesenabledby5G-A.Throughstandardization,cross-areacollaboration,andecologicalco-construction,5G-Awillacceleratethetransitionfromcapabilityenhancementtovaluecreation,injectingvalueintothedigitaleconomy.Inthefuture,thein-depth5G-A×AIconvergencewillfurtherunleashthepotentialof“Human-Vehicles-Device”interconnectionandopenaneweraofintelligentsociety.

Communicationisanoldbutmodernword.Beforethe19thcentury,peoplecommunicatedmainlybyletter.Inthe19thcentury,withtheenlightenmentandrapiddevelopmentofcommunicationtheoriesandbasicsciences,communicationtechnologywitnessedgreatprogressenteredtheeraofmobilecommunication.
Inthe1980s,theFirstgenerationanalogmobilecommunicationsystem(1G)basedontheconceptof“cellular”achievedlarge-scalecommercialization,using

FrequencyDivisionMultipleAccess(FDMA)technologytorealizeanalogmodulationofvoicesignals.TheSecondGenerationdigitalmobilecommunicationsystem(2G)isbasedonTimeDivisionMultipleAccess(TDMA)technology,totransmitvoiceandlow-speeddataservices,andrealizeglobalroaming.Withthefurtherdevelopmentofdataandmultimediacommunications,theThirdGenerationmobilecommunicationsystem(3G)cameintobeing,usingCodeDivisionMultipleAccess(CMDA)technologytoenhancethesecurityofdatacommunications,notonlytoprovidehigh-qualityvoiceservices,simultaneoustransmissionofvoiceanddatainformation,butalsotosupportmultimediaservicesandtheaccesstothemobileInternet.
3Ghasrealizedthegoalofmobilebroadbandmultimediacommunication,butithasnotstoppedpeoplefromfurtherresearchoncommunicationtechnology.The4thGeneration(4G)mobilecommunicationtechnologyisrepresentedby3GPPLTE/LTE-Asystem,whichintroducesOrthogonalFrequencyDivisionMultiplexing),MIMO(Multi-Input&Multi-Output(OFDM),andotherkeytechnologies.In4G,benefitingfromtheimprovementinnetworkperformance(suchasrateanddelay),theIP-basedmultimediacommunicationservicesandtheintegrationofmobilecommunicationandWLANservicesarerealizedandbringnewexperiencesforusers.
Onthisbasis,alongwiththevigorousdevelopmentandinnovationofupper-layerapplications(includingtheneedsofindividualconsumersandindustrycustomers),themobilecommunicationnetworkneedstoprovidediversified,flexible,andcustomizableservices,andtherateisnolongertheonlypursuit.The5thGeneration(5G)mobilecommunicationtechnologycontainsthreetypicalapplicationscenarios,enhancedMobileBroadband(eMBB),ultra-ReliableLowLatencyCommunications(uRLLC),andmassiveMachineTypeofCommunication(mMTC),whichputforwardbrandnewrequirementsonrate,delay,reliability,connectionscaleandothercapabilities.
