IV.EmergencyResponseOrganization

A.EmergencyResponseTeam(ERT)

TheEmergencyResponseTeam(ERT)isresponsibleforcoordinatingtheresponsetoemergencies.TheERTconsistsofthefollowingpositions:

-EmergencyResponseCoordinator(ERC):TheERCistheoverallleaderoftheERTandisresponsiblefortheoverallmanagementoftheemergencyresponse.TheERCwillensurethatallnecessaryresourcesaremobilizedandthattheresponseisconductedinaccordancewiththisplan.

-EmergencyOperationsCenter(EOC)Manager:TheEOCManagerisresponsiblefortheoperationoftheEmergencyOperationsCenter(EOC)andthecoordinationoftheresponseactivities.

-PublicInformationOfficer(PIO):ThePIOisresponsibleforprovidinginformationtothepublic,media,andotherstakeholdersduringtheemergency.

-LogisticsCoordinator:TheLogisticsCoordinatorisresponsibleforthemanagementofresources,supplies,andfacilitiesduringtheemergency.

-MedicalCoordinator:TheMedicalCoordinatorisresponsibleforthemedicalresponseandthecoordinationofmedicalresources.

B.EmergencyResponseProcedures

1.Notification:Upontheoccurrenceofanemergency,theERCwillnotifytheERTmembersandinitiatetheemergencyresponse.

2.ActivationoftheEmergencyOperationsCenter(EOC):TheEOCwillbeactivatedtocoordinatetheresponseefforts.

3.Assessment:TheERTwillconductapreliminaryassessmentofthesituationtodeterminethescopeandseverityoftheemergency.
