AccordingtotheSFAsurvey,thetopfactorsshapingFintechhiringinthenext12monthsarebusinessgrowthpriorities,costoptimization,andgeopoliticalandmacroeconomicshifts.Nearly70%ofFintechfirmscitebudgetconstraintsasamajorchallenge,while62%plantoexpandheadcounttosupportgrowth.

Singapore’sFinTechecosystemcomprisesover2,100firmsasof2024,supportedbyarobusttalentpoolandregulatoryframework.InH12025,thesectorattractedUS$1.04billioninfunding,drivenbypayments,digitalassets,andAI.(KPMG2025)

Thecomparisonbetween2024and2025hiringdatahighlightsaclearshiftinSingapore’sTechnologytalentlandscape.Largeenterprises[LAR](1,000+employees)recordedanotableriseinhiringshare,signallingstrongermomentumtowardscaleandoperationalmaturity.Incontrast,mid-sizedfirms[MME](201–1,000employees)maintainedstablelevels,reflectingcautiousexpansion.

Amongsmallerplayers,smallbusinesses-Startup(11–50employees)showedrenewedhiringactivitymidyear,hintingatstartuprevivalorselectiveteamgrowth.Meanwhile,smallbusinesses-Growth(51–200employees)sawaslightdip,likelyinfluencedbybudgetpressuresorcompetitionfromlargerfirms.
