Foreword
Technologyhasalwayshadthepowertoreshapesocieties.Butthecurrent
waveofdisruption–drivenbyadvancesinartificialintelligence–isunfoldingatdizzyingpaceandonanunprecedentedscale.
Unlikeprevioustechnologicalrevolutions,whichgenerallytookdecades,AIisfiringchangeacrossindustries,institutionsandsocietiesinrealtime.
It’sachallengejusttokeepup.
Rudimentarytask-basedsystemshavealreadygivenwaytopowerfulmodelsthatcanreason,generatecontent,interactandlearnfromvaststoresofdata.
Asthesesystemsimprove,theyaresettochangeeverything:fromthewaywe
workandcreatevalue,tohowwemakedecisionsanddeliverservices.It’sno
exaggerationtosaytheywillfundamentallychangeourwayoflifeandchallengelongheldnotionsaboutthenormsofthehumanexperience.
