DeuxdistrictsauNigeretTchadontfranchileseuilépidémiqueetseptdistrictsontfranchileseuild’alertedanscinqpays:RépubliqueCentrafricaine(2),Niger(2),RDCongo(1),Tchad(1)etTogo(1).

•Niger:DanslarégiondeNiamey,ledistrictdeNiamey1estrestéenphaseépidémiqueavecuntauxd’attaque(TA)de15,5caspour100000habitants

Danslamêmerégion,ledistrictdeNiamey3afranchileseuild’alerteavecunTAde3,6caspour100000habitants.Danslarégiond’Agadez,ledistrictdeBilmaavec3cassuspectsetunepopulationde28052habitantsestenphased’alerte.

UneréunionrégulièreavecleNigeraétéétablieàlasuitedesfranchissementsrécurrentsduseuilépidémiquedansledistrictdeNiamey1etàladétectiondeNeisseriameningitidisdanslepays.Lebutdecesréunionsestderenforcerlasurveillanceet

Onweek10of2026,18outofthe26countriesoftheenhancedmeningitissurveillancenetworksharedtheirmeningitisepidemiologicaldata.

TwodistrictsinNigerandTchadcrossedtheepidemicthresholdandsevendistrictscrossedthealertthresholdinfivecountries:CentralAfricanRepublic(2),Niger(2),DRCongo(1),Chad(1)andTogo(1).

•Niger:IntheNiameyregion,thedistrictofNiamey1remainedintheepidemicphasewithanattackrate(AR)of15.5casesper100,000inhabitants.Inthesameregion,thedistrictofNiamey3crossedthealertthresholdwithanARof3.6casesper100,000inhabitants.IntheAgadezregion,thedistrictofBilmawith3suspectedcasesandapopulationof28,052inhabitantsisinthealertphase.

AregularmeetingwithNigerhasbeenestablishedfollowingthesustainedcrossingoftheepidemicthresholdintheNiamey1districtandthedetectionofNeisseriameningitidisinthecountry.Thepurposeofthesemeetingsistostrengthenmeningitissurveillanceandresponse

•Tchad:DanslaprovinceduTandjile,ledistrictdeGuidariafranchileseuilépidémiqueavecunTAde13,5caspour100000habitants.Danslamêmeprovince,ledistrictdeLaiafranchileseuild’alerteavecunTAde4,5caspour100000habitants.CependantuneépidémiedeméningiteàméningocoqueseraitencoursdepuisplusieurssemainesdanslazonedesantédeDormon.LesérogroupeNmCaétéidentifié,etunerequêteICGpourunecampagnedevaccinationréactiveestencours.Lesrésultatsdesinvestigationscomplémentairesainsiquelamiseàjourdesdonnéessontattendusdupays.

•Rép.Centrafricaine:DanslaRégion3,ledistrictdeBocaranga-Kouiestrestéenphased’alerteavecunTAde9,4caspour100000habitantsetdanslamêmerégion,ledistrictdeNgaoundayeafranchileseuild’alerteavecunTAde8,7caspour100000habitants.

•RDCongo:DanslaprovinceduHaut-Lomami,lazonedesantédeMulongoafranchileseuild’alerteavecunTAde3.1caspour100000habitants.

•Togo:DanslarégiondelaKara,ledistrictdeDoufelgouafranchileseuild’alerteavecunTAde3,2caspour100000habitants.

toevaluatetheimpactoftheMen5CVvaccineintroducednationallyin2025.

•Chad:InTanjileprovince,GuidaridistrictcrossedtheepidemicthresholdwithanARof13.5casesper100,000inhabitants.Inthesameprovince,LaidistrictcrossedthealertthresholdwithanARof4.5casesper100,000inhabitants.However,ameningococcalmeningitisoutbreakhasbeenreportedforseveralweeksintheDormonhealthzone.SerogroupNmChasbeenidentified,andanICGrequestforareactivevaccinationcampaignisunderway.Theresultsoffurtherinvestigationsandtheupdateddataarestillawaitedfromthecountry.

•CentralAfricanRepublic:IntheRegion3,thedistrictofBocaranga-KouiremainedinthealertphasewithanARof9.4casesper100,000inhabitantsandinthesameregion,thedistrictofNgaoundayecrossedthealertthresholdwithanARof8.7casesper100,000inhabitants.

•DRCongo:IntheprovinceofHaut-Lomami,theMulongohealthzonecrossedthealertthresholdwithanARof3.1casesper100,000inhabitants.

•Togo:IntheKararegion,thedistrictofDoufelgoucrossedthealertthresholdwithanARof3.2casesper100,000inhabitants.
