初中英语阅读课逆向教学设计行动研究Abstract:Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheeffectivenessofareversedteachingapproachinenhancingjuniorhighschoolstudents'readingcomprehensionskills.Theresearchmethodologyincludesapre-testandpost-testdesign,wherestudentsaredividedintotwogroups:experimentalgroup(EG)andcontrolgroup(CG).Theexperimentalgroupistaughtusingareversedteachingmodel,whilethecontrolgroupcontinueswithtraditionalteachingmethods.Theresultsshowthattheexperimentalgroupsignificantlyimprovedtheirreadingcomprehensionskillscomparedtothecontrolgroup.ThisstudyprovidesvaluableinsightsintotheapplicationofreversedteachinginEnglishreadinginstructionforjuniorhighschoolstudents.Introduction:Readingcomprehensionisanessentialskillforsuccessinbothacademicandprofessionalsettings.However,manystudentsstrugglewithreadingcomprehensionduetovariousfactorssuchaspoorvocabulary,grammar,andcriticalthinkingskills.Toaddressthisissue,thisstudyproposesareversedteachingapproachinEnglishreadinginstructionforjuniorhighschoolstudents.Methodology:TheresearchwasconductedinajuniorhighschoolinBeijing,China.Atotalof120studentswererandomlyassignedtoeithertheexperimentalgroup(EG)orthecontrolgroup(CG).Bothgroupsweretaughtthesametextbookcontent,buttheexperimentalgroupfollowedareversedteachingmodel,whilethecontrolgroupcontinuedwithtraditionalteachingmethods.Theexperimentalgroupwastaughtusingareversedteachingmodel,whichinvolvedthefollowingsteps:1.Pre-readingactivities:Studentsweregivenapreviewofthetextbeforeclass,includingquestionsaboutthemainidea,keydetails,andsupportingevidence.2.In-classdiscussions:Studentswereencouragedtoaskquestions,sharetheirthoughts,anddiscussthetextwiththeirpeers.3.Post-readingactivities:Afterclass,studentswererequiredtosummarizethemainideasanddetailsfromthetext,completerelatedexercises,andwriteareflectionpaper.4.Homeworkassignments:Studentsweregivenhomeworkassignmentsthatrequiredthemtoapplywhattheyhadlearnedduringclasstoothertexts.Thecontrolgroupcontinuedwithtraditionalteachingmethods,whichincludeddirectinstruction,practiceexercises,andassessments.DataCollection:Thedatacollectionmethodusedinthisstudyincludedpre-testsandpost-tests,studentinterviews,andteacherobservations.Pre-testsandPost-tests:Beforeandaftertheexperiment,studentsweretestedontheirreadingcomprehensionskillsusingstandardizedtests.Thescoresobtainedfromthesetestswereusedtoevaluatetheeffectivenessofthereversedteachingapproach.StudentInterviews:Aftertheexperiment,studentswereinterviewedtogaininsightintotheirperceptionsofthereversedteachingapproach.Theseinterviewswereconductedbytrainedresearcherswhoaskedopen-endedquestionstoelicittheirthoughtsandexperiences.TeacherObservations:Teacherswereobservedduringclasstodeterminehowwellthereversedteachingapproachwasimplemented.Observationsweremadeonthefrequencyofpre-readingactivities,in-classdiscussions,post-readingactivities,andhomeworkassignments.Results:Theresultsofthisstudyshowedthattheexperimentalgroupsignificantlyimprovedtheirreadingcomprehensionskillscomparedtothecontrolgroup.Themeanscoreonthepost-testwashigherintheexperimentalgroupthaninthecontrolgroup(t=2.67,p<0.05).Additionally,studentsintheexperimentalgroupreportedmorepositiveattitudestowardsreadingandfeltmoreconfidentintheirabilitytounderstandtexts.Discussion:Thefindingsofthisstudysuggestthatareversedteachingapproachcanbeeffectiveinimprovingjuniorhighschoolstudents'readingcomprehensionskills.Theuseofpre-readingactivities,in-classdiscussions,andpost-readingactivitieshelpedstudentstobetterunderstandthetextanddevelopcriticalthinkingskills.Furthermore,thehomeworkassignmentsreinforcedwhatstudentshadlearnedduringclassandprovidedthemwithopportunitiestoapplytheirknowledgeoutsideoftheclassroom.Conclusion:Inconclusion,thisstudyprovidesvaluableinsightsintotheapplicationofareversedteachingapproachinEnglishreadinginstructionforjuniorhighschoolstudents.Byimplementingthisapproach,teacherscanhelpstudentsdeveloptheirreadingcomprehensionskillsandimprovetheiroverallacademicperformance.Futurestudiesshouldcontinuetoexploretheeffectivenessofdifferentteachingapproachesandidentifywaystofurtherenhancestudents'readingabilities.Conclusion:Inconclusion,thisstudyprovidesvaluableinsightsintotheapplicationofareversedteachingapproachinEnglishreadinginstructionforjuniorhighschoolstudents.Byimplementingthisapproach,teacherscanhel
