toverifythattheDCvoltageislessthan45V.ThedrivecontrollerLEDsarenotaccurateindicatorsofthe

absenceofDCbusvoltage.

extendedfunctionalityandextendedhorsepowerrangeforthe

Altivar58ACdrivefamily.TheATV58TRXseriesincludesananalogoutput,expandedfirmwarecapabilities,andahorsepowerrangeupto500hp.AsaTransparentReady™productequippedwithan

Ethernetcommunicationcard,theATV58TRXproductlinecanbeconfigured,controlled,monitored,anddiagnosedoveranEthernetnetworkusingastandardWebbrowser.Nospecialsoftwareor

driversareneeded.

TheATV58TRXcontrollersacceptallofthecurrentI/Ooptions,communicationcardoptions,andhardwareoptions,suchas

typicallyusedforvariabletorqueapplications.Withproperselection,

thisrangeofcontrollerscanalsobeusedinconstanttorque

applications,suchascompressors,conveyors,andextruders,wherehighperformanceisnotrequiredatlowspeeds.The125–500hp

productratingsareforapplicationsthatrequire100%ratedtorquedownto6Hz.Iftheapplicationrequiresmorethan110%transienttorqueforoneminute,selecttheappropriatehorsepowerproduct.ForassistancewithselectingtheproperACdrivecontrollerfor

FirmwareRevisionInformation

Overtime,thefunctionalityoftheATV58productlinehasbeen

upgradedtobroadenitsapplications.Thisdocumentcanbeused

withearlierdrivecontrollers,butnotalloftheparametersdetailedinitwillbeaccessibleifadrivecontrollerisnotequippedwiththemostrecentfirmware.Keypaddisplaysarebackwardcompatible.Older

keypaddisplaysusedonnewerdrivecontrollerswillnotdisplaythenewparameters.

ThedrivecontrollerfirmwarerevisionlabelislocatedadjacenttotheintegratedMODBUSportonthefrontofthedrivecontroller.The

keypaddisplayfirmwarerevisionlabelislocatedonthebackcoverofthekeypaddisplay.Thefirmwareonthedrivecontrollermaybe

upgradedbyinstallinganewcontrolboard,partnumberVX4A581U,andanewkeypaddisplay,partnumberVW3A58101U.

correspondingtothefrequencyoftheincomingACpower.
