Electriccircuits,voltageandcurrent
Anelectriccircuitisformedwhenaconductivepathiscreatedtoallowfreeelectronstocontinuouslymove.Thiscontinuousmovementoffreeelectronsthroughtheconductorsofacircuitiscalledacurrent,anditisoftenreferredtointermsof"flow,"justliketheflowofaliquidthroughahollowpipe.Theforcemotivatingelectronsto"flow"inacircuitiscalledvoltage,whichtechnicallyisameasureofpotentialenergyperunitchargeofelectrons.
