阅读主题熟悉度对初中生英语词汇附带习得的影响研究Abstract:Thisstudyaimstoexploretherelationshipbetweenreadingfamiliarityandvocabularyacquisitionamongjuniorhighschoolstudents.Byexaminingthecorrelationbetweenreadingfrequency,comprehensionskills,andvocabularygrowth,weaimtounderstandhowexposuretoEnglishthroughreadingcanenhancestudents'proficiencyinlearningnewwords.Introduction:Theimportanceofreadingforlanguageacquisitionhaslongbeenrecognized.Researchhasshownthatreadingnotonlyimprovescomprehensionbutalsofostersvocabularydevelopment.However,littleisknownaboutthespecificfactorsthatinfluencethisprocesswithinthecontextofjuniorhighschoolstudents'Englishlearning.Thisstudyseekstofillthisgapbyexaminingtheimpactofreadingfamiliarityonvocabularyacquisitionamongthesestudents.Methodology:Toinvestigatetherelationshipbetweenreadingfamiliarityandvocabularyacquisition,amixed-methodsapproachwasadopted.Firstly,asurveywasconductedtocollectdataonstudents'readinghabitsandtheircurrentlevelofEnglishvocabularyknowledge.Secondly,aseriesofreadingactivitiesweredesignedtoexposeparticipantstodifferenttypesofEnglishtexts.Theseactivitiesincludedreadingpassagesfromvariousgenres(e.g.,fiction,non-fiction,science),aswellasengagingthemindiscussionsaboutthecontenttheyhadread.Finally,post-readingassessmentswereadministeredtomeasurechangesinvocabularyknowledge.Results:TheresultsofthesurveyrevealedthatstudentswhoreadfrequentlyhadahigherlevelofEnglishvocabularyknowledgethanthosewhoreadlessfrequently.Furthermore,studentswhoengagedinmorecomplexreadingactivities,suchasanalyzingcharactersorthemes,demonstratedgreatergainsinvocabularyacquisitioncomparedtothosewhoreadsimplertexts.Post-readingassessmentsindicatedthatstudentswhohadpreviouslyreadsimilartextsshowedgreaterretentionandrecallofnewvocabularywords.Discussion:Thesefindingssuggestthatreadingfamiliarityplaysasignificantroleinenhancingvocabularyacquisitionamongjuniorhighschoolstudents.Themorevariedandchallengingthereadingmaterial,themorelikelystudentsaretoencounternewwordsandconcepts.Additionally,theactofreadingitselfmayfacilitatethelearningofnewvocabularythroughactiveengagementwiththetextandtheneedtocomprehenditsmeaning.Conclusion:Inconclusion,thisstudyhighlightstheimportanceofreadingfamiliarityinpromotingvocabularyacquisitionamongjuniorhighschoolstudents.Byexposingstudentstoavarietyoftextsandencouragingactivereading,educatorscanhelpthembuildastrongfoundationinEnglishvocabulary.Furtherresearchisneededtoexplorethelong-termeffectsofreadingonvocabularydevelopmentandtoidentifyotherfactorsthatmaycontributetosuccessfulvocabularyacquisition.Inconclusion,thisstudyhighlightstheimportanceofreadingfamiliarityinpromotingvocabularyacquisitionamongjuniorhighschoolstudents.Byexposingstudentstoavarietyoftextsandencouragingactivereading,educatorscanhelpthembuildastrongfoundationinEnglishvocabulary.Furtherresearchisneededtoexplorethelong-termeffectsofreadingonvocabularydevelopmentandtoidentifyotherfactorsthatmaycontributetosuccessfulvocabularyacquisition.Thisresearchhasimplicationsforbotheducationalpracticesandindividuallanguagelearningstrategies.Itunderscoresthevalueofintegratingreadingintothecurriculumtosupportstudents'proficiencyinlearningnewwords.Additionally,itencourageseducatorstodesignreadingactivitiesthatchallengestudentswhilealsoprovidingopportunitiesformeaningfulengagementwiththetext.Thefindingsofthisstudyhavepracticalapplicationsforeducatorsandparentsalike.Theycanusetheinsightsgainedfromthisresearchtotailortheirinstructionalapproachestobettermeettheneedsoftheirstudents.Forexample,teacherscanincorporatemorediversereadingmaterialsintotheirlessonstoexposestudentstoawiderrangeofvocabularyandconcepts.Parentscanalsosupporttheirchildren'sreadinghabitsbycreatingasupportiveenvironmentthatencouragesactivereadingandcriticalthinking.Overall,thisstudyprovidesvaluableinsightsintotherelationshipbetweenreadingfamiliarityandvocabularyacquisitionamon
