shapeoursocieties—from
accessandinclusion
tosafety,liveability,
andclimate
impact.Around
theworld,mobilityisbothdeeplypersonalandprofoundlypublic:itdetermines
whocanreach
jobs,schools,
andcare,howourstreetsfeel,
and
whetherwemeetenvironmentalgoals.As
weseeinthisreport,manypeopleremaincar-reliant:onaverage,43%say
living
without
acar
wouldbeimpossible.Atthesame
time,public
transportis
widely
viewedasaccessible
(62%
on
averageacross31countries)
andsafe(also62%),
though
affordability
and
accesslaginruralareas.Youngerpeopleandurbanresidentsare
moreopen
toalternatives,pointing
toafuture
wherewalking,
transit,andsharedoptionsplayalargerrole.Choiceofmodemattersfor
theplanet
andforpublicspace.Nearlyhalf
(46%)wouldprefertousepublic
transportoverpersonalcarsforenvironmentalreasons,67%supportdedicatedcycling
lanes,and61%saythey
would
choose
active
traveltostayhealthy.Safetyisasharedpriority:66%
support
strictertrafficlaws,
with
strongbacking
formeasures
thatprotect
pedestriansandcyclists.Technologyisreshapingmobility,but
acceptanceisuneven.Globally,
47%finddriving
anelectricvehicleappealing,and53%
expectmanyconsumers
toadoptEVsby2030—yetenthusiasmislowerinNorth
AmericaandEurope,andon

dropsoutside
citiesandamong

feelsafe
inoneaswouldnot.Europeans
andNorthAmericans
aremorelikely
tofeelunsafe.This

continues
with
electric
vehicles
withBelgium,France,Germany,theUSandCanada,
allmorelikely
tosaydriving
anelectriccarisnotappealing
tothemthanitis.LATAMand
