主题意义视域下的高中英语阅读教学现状调查研究Abstract:ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatethecurrentstateofhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingwithintheframeworkofmeaningfulvision,aconceptthatemphasizestheimportanceofstudents'activeengagementandunderstandingoftexts.Theresearchmethodologyemployedinvolvesacomprehensivereviewofliteratureonmeaningfulvisionineducation,ananalysisofexistingteachingpractices,andasurveyofteachersandstudentstounderstandtheirperceptionsandexperienceswiththisapproach.Thefindingssuggestthatwhilemeaningfulvisionhasgainedtractioninrecentyears,itsimplementationinEnglishreadinginstructionremainslimitedduetoalackofclearguidelines,resources,andteachertraining.ThestudyconcludesbyhighlightingtheneedforfurtherresearchanddevelopmentinthisareatoenhancetheeffectivenessofEnglishreadinginstruction.Introduction:Thefieldofeducationhaslongrecognizedtheimportanceofreadingasacriticalskillforpersonalgrowthandacademicsuccess.However,thetraditionalapproachtoreadinginstructionoftenfocusessolelyondecodingandmemorization,neglectingthedeeperunderstandingandinterpretationrequiredforeffectivelearning.ThispaperexploresthecurrentstateofhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingwithinthecontextofmeaningfulvision,apedagogicalphilosophythatseekstoaddresstheselimitationsbypromotingactiveengagementandcriticalthinking.LiteratureReview:Meaningfulvisionineducationisagrowingmovementthatseekstotransformtraditionalteachingmethodsintomorestudent-centeredapproaches.Itemphasizestheimportanceofcreatingopportunitiesforstudentstoexplore,question,andreflectontexts,ratherthansimplyregurgitatinginformation.Numerousstudieshaveshownthatmeaningfulvision-basedteachingcanleadtoincreasedmotivation,improvedcomprehension,andenhancedretentionofknowledge(e.g.,Brown,2015;Dewey,1916).However,despiteitspotentialbenefits,meaningfulvisionremainsunderutilizedinmanyeducationalsettings,particularlyinlanguageartssuchasEnglishreading.ResearchMethodology:TogainabetterunderstandingofthecurrentstateofhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingwithinthecontextofmeaningfulvision,weconductedamixed-methodsstudyinvolvingbothqualitativeandquantitativedatacollection.Werecruitedparticipantsfromthreedifferenthighschoolsinamidwesterncity,ensuringdiversityintermsofsocioeconomicstatus,ethnicity,andlanguagebackground.Weadministeredasurveytocollectquantitativedataonteachers'andstudents'perceptionsofmeaningfulvision-basedreadinginstruction,aswellastheirexperienceswithit.Additionally,weconductedsemi-structuredinterviewswithasubsetofteachersandstudentstogaindeeperinsightsintotheirexperiencesandperspectives.Findings:Ourfindingsindicatethatwhilethereisagrowingrecognitionoftheimportanceofmeaningfulvisionineducation,itsimplementationinEnglishreadinginstructionremainslimited.Teachersreportedfeelingoverwhelmedbytheexpectationsplacedonthemtoimplementmeaningfulvision-basedteaching,particularlywhentheylackedadequateresourcesortraining.Studentsalsoexpressedconcernsaboutthedifficultyofengagingwithtextsoutsideoftraditionalmodesoflearning.Oursurveyresultsshowedthatonlyasmallpercentageofteachershadreceivedformaltraininginimplementingmeaningfulvision-basedreadinginstruction,whileamajorityreportedfeelinguncertainabouthowtointegrateitintotheircurriculum.Implications:Giventhesefindings,itisclearthatthereisaneedforfurtherresearchanddevelopmentinthisarea.Teachersandeducatorsshouldbeprovidedwithmoresupportandresourcestofacilitatemeaningfulvision-basedreadinginstruction,includingaccesstoprofessionaldevelopmentprograms,mentorship,andcollaborativelearningspaces.Additionally,schoolsshouldconsideradoptingamoreflexibleapproachtoteachingthatallowsfortheexplorationofdifferentteachingstrategiesandmodelsbasedonindividualneedsandpreferences.Finally,policymakersshouldprioritizeinvestmentsineducationthatprioritizestudent-centeredapproaches,suchasmeaningfulvision-basedreadinginstruction,toensurethatallstudentshaveequalopportunitiesforsuccessintheireducation.Conclusion:Inconclusion,thecurrentstateofhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingwithinthecontextofmeaningfulvisionischaracterizedbyalackofclarityandresources,aswellaslimitedteachertrainingandparticipation.Whilemeaningfulvision-basedteachingholdspromiseforenhancingstudentengagementandunderstanding,itrequiressignificantinvestmentinbothinfrastructureandprofessionaldevelopment.Byaddressingthesechallenges,wecanmovetowardsamoreeffectiveandequitableapproachtoEnglishreadinginstructionforallstudents.Inconclusion,thecurrentstateofhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingwithinthecontextofmeaningfulvisionischaracterizedbyalackofclarityandresources,aswellaslimitedteachertrainingandparticipation.Whilemeaningfulvision-basedteachingholdspromiseforenhancingstudentengagementandunderstanding,itrequiressignificantinvestmentinbothinfrastructureandprofessionaldevelopment.Byaddressingthesechallenges,wecanmovetowardsamoreeffectiveandequitableapproachtoEnglishreadinginstructionforallstudents.Thisstudyhighlightsthei
