1、Unit 3 How do you get to school?教材解读本单元以Transportation为话题,通过单元教学,学生将学会用三个how questions 谈论如何到达一个目的地,行程多长时间及距离有多远。另外,学生还将掌握不同交通方式的英语表达,了解不同国家和地区的学生是采用何种交通方式去学校的。学好本课,学生还能够加深对一般现在时态的理解和运用,也可以用英语来和别人讨论到达某地的最佳方式。单元目标一、知识与技能1. 掌握重点单词及短语。2. 了解世界不同地区学生的上学方式。3. 学生能表达自己和周围同学的交通方式。二、过程与方法采用Using contest guessi
2、ng和Role playing的学习策略,利用教学图片、录音机或多媒体课件来展开课堂的听力和口语交际活动。三、情感态度与价值观不同的出行目的可以选择不同的交通工具,不同交通工具带来不同的心灵感受,让学生懂得从环保这一角度出发,了解交通工具给环境带来的影响,尽量选择低碳环保的交通工具出行。教法导航采用直观教学法,遵循以学生为主体的原则。学法导航采用Using contest guessing和Role playing的学习策略,课时支配第1课时:Section A 1a2c第2课时:2d3c第3课时:Section B 1a1e第4课时:2aSelf Check 第1课时 Section A 1
3、a-2c教学目标一、知识与技能1. 掌握重点词汇和句型:take the bus, ride a bike, How do you get to school?2. 复习数字的表达。3. 培养听力能力。二、过程与方法采用目标和直观教学法,调动学生的积极性,引导他们积极参与课堂。 三、情感态度与价值观了解其他国家的常见出行方式,培养低碳环保出行的意识。教学重点能用本课的重点词汇和句型对出行方式进行交际。教学难点能听清录音中的较大数字。教法导航课上引导学生积极参与课堂活动,老师少讲,鼓励学生多练。学法导航加强小组合作学习,积极回答问题教学准备图片、录音机、多媒体。教学过程Step 1 Greeti
4、ngsT:Greet the students as usual.Step 2 New wordsShow some pictures of the new words on the screen. Ask students to try to read these words:bike, train, subway, car, ship, boat, bus, airplaneA word game. Ask the students to look through the new words quickly, then check how many they can remember. 5、ive students some pictures about the new words and some word cards. The teacher shows the new words or the pictures of the new words on the screen. If the teacher shows the word “train” to the students, the student who got the picture of the train should stand up quickly and say “Im here!” And so on
6、.)Step 3 PracticeShow the picture of 1a on the screen and get the students to match the words with the pictures. Step 4 Listening Ask students to look at the picture in their books. Ask them some questions about the picture:What can you see in the picture? How many people are there in the picture? W
7、hat are they doing?And then, play the recording twice for the students to listen and ask the students to finish Activity 1b. Step 5 Pair workShow the picture of 1a and the answer of 1b on the screen and the teacher asks a student:How does Mary get to school? Help him/her to answer:She takes the subw
8、ay. Then ask another two students to practice the same dialogue. And then make up other dialogues according to the picture and the answer of 1b. Step 6 PresentationAsk one student:How old are you? And then get another student to guess the teachers age to help them to go over the numbers. Then show s
9、ome numbers on the screen one by one on the screen and get the student to speak them out.Step 7 Listening2a Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat and then write down the numbers they hear on their books.Step 8 PracticeShow a short video on the screen:A:How do you get to school? And then get some pairs to act out the dialogue.Step 9 Listening2b Play the tape for the students to listen and complete the chart. Play at least twice. And then ask some

And the group that the winner belongs to can get a red flag. Then give the students several minutes to pr
17、actice the dialogues and ask some pairs to act them out in front of the class.Step 5 GameGive each group some cards with words on them, each card each word. And then get the students to make up question sentences with these words. The group who complete first is the winner. Then get the students to
18、practice asking and answering in pairs.Step 6 CompetitionWork in groups. Ask questions according to the answers in the chart of 3c. The first student to fill in the blanks wins. Get the students to remember the important phrases and sentences:get to school, ride a bike, take the bus, by bike/bus, wa
19、lk to school. How do you get to school? How long does it take to get to school? How far is it from your home to school?
