U ntil now,it has 59 species in the wor ld ( Ch ina, Russia, K orea,Japan etc. ), of whi

5、ch 44 species were found to occur in Ch ina, about 74 6% of the tota lw orld fauna. During the iden tification of the tenebr ion id specmi ens co llected from Ch ina,a new species of the genusC ten iop inu s, C. rubithoracus sp.nov.,from Guizhou Prov ince and H unan Province in China were found and

6、aredescr ibed in th is paper. In addit ion, a new nam e C ten iopinu s fangch engen sis Yang et R en nom. nov. is proposed to replace the jun ior hom onym nam e C ten iopinu s flavifemu r Bai et Ren, 2004 ( nec Borchm ann, 1930).
