Cultivation ObjectivesThe objectives of the Computer Science and Technology major are to prepare students with systematic knowledge, professional technology and practical skills in this area, to meet the requirements of the Computer Science and Technology and petroleum industry. The graduates, cultivated to be high-quality engineering talent, will be able to participate in scientific research, technology development, teaching or management in areas related to computer software or computer architecture from system to application level.IIRequirements Graduates should acquire the following knowledge and skills:1. Graduates should have a solid foundation in science such as math and physics, a basic Chinese level, being able to read Chinese journal in their major and basic skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. 2. Graduates should grasp prerequisite knowledge on computer hardware and software analysis and design, application system development, networking and information system management as well as basic knowledge of petroleum and petrochemical engineering. 3. Graduates should gain professional knowledge and skills related to Computer Science and Technology and should be aware of state-of-the-art of in this area.4. Graduates should have strong ability to work and to adapt, abilities in real work such as scientific research, technology development and management as well as skills in computer system design, R&D, operation and management in Computer Science and Technology. 5. Graduates should master basic methods of searching for literature, capable of self-learning, self-improvement and self-development.
