27、I go to bed. 2.Education In China, it is convenient to divide education in China into four categories: primary education, secondary education, higher education, and adult education. China has a Compulsory Education Law. The Compulsory Education Law The Compulsory Education Law calls for each child t

28、o have nine years of formal education. To meet this requirement, a child will attend either five years of elementary education followed by three years of junior middle school. Today in China, the first system, “5-4”, is virtually nonexistent; the second system, “6-3”, is far more common. 3.Food and

29、Drink The majority of people in country eat too much fat and not enough fibre and for most people a healthy diet is simple and easy to do. The move towards a healthy diet may just mean eating more fruit, vegetables, bread, cereals, potatoes, and pasta.There are 5 basic food groups and a healthy diet

30、 consists of eating a variety of foods from all of the groups but in the correct proportions.1. Bread, potatoes, pasta, rice, noodles and breakfast cereals.These foods mostly contain starch and should be the main part of all your meals. If possible try to choose high fibre varieties. This group of f

31、oods are an excellent source of fibre and are rich in vitamins from the B complex.2. Fruit and vegetables.This includes all frozen, fresh and canned fruit/vegetables as well as salad vegetables. These are all excellent sources of vitamins, minerals and fibre and are naturally low in fat and calories

32、. You should try to eat at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables every day. The soft drinks most often sold are Coca-Cola and PepsiCola, plus fizzy drinks (which are like leminade)and root beer(which is like cough medicine)Fizzy drinks are known as “carbonated beverages”(碳酸饮料) or ,more colloquial

34、oke) 4.Free-time Activities Plan your time carefully. Make a list of your weekly tasks. Then make a schedule or chart of your time. Fill in committed time such as eating, sleeping, meetings, classes, etc. Then decide on good, regular times for studying. Be sure to set aside enough time to complete y

35、our normal reading and work assignments. Of course, studying shouldnt occupy all of the free time on the schedule. Its important to set aside time for relaxation, hobbies, and entertainment as well. This weekly schedule may not solve all of your problems, but it will make you more aware of how you s

36、pend your time. Furthermore, it will enable you to plan your activities so that you have adequate time for both work and play. 5.Health and Body Care Health is very important for every one . If you dont have a healthy body ,you may feel very mesery, and you will get into many troubles. Everyday we d

37、o everything all based on a well healthy. How can we get and keep a well healthy? The food and the sports are important, we must care of our everyday food, eat more vegetables and fruits,an apple each day can keep a doctor away!We had to get enough vitamins for we need also. And we can do exercises

38、in every day morning or evening .Thats all good for our health. But there are something bad for our health,so we cant do this . We cant eat any dirty food , to wash your hands before you eat food is a good habbit. Body is ourselves. I hope everyone has a well healthy. 6.Holidays We have many traditi

39、onal festivals and national holidays in China, such as the Spring Festivals, the Dragon Boat Festivals, the Mid-autumn Festivals, etc. Our national holidays are the New Year, May Day, and our National Day, which falls on October 1st. On holidays, we used to pay for visits to our relatives(亲戚) and fr

40、iends, exchanging gifts(交换礼物) and having dinner together. Now we have more ways of celebration(庆祝). People choose to send the messages to greet(祝福) each other. People take coaches(长途车), drive cars, or go by air to remote(遥远的) places for sightseeing. Students would come to our bookstore to find their

41、 favorite books. 7.Home and Family Family has a great influence on our personal development. If we are from a happy family, we tend to be cheerful and optimistic. If we are brought up in an unhappy family, we may grow up miserable and pessimistic. If we are not loved by our family, we may not learn

42、to love others. An ideal family should be a place where we can get warmth, help, comfort and strength. It should also be a source of laughter, and a good means to lessen the tension and pressure we all face every day. A family should be a place where we can cultivate our self-confidence, which is cr

43、ucial to our further development and to our mental health. Since family plays a very important role in our life, it is up to every family member to contribute to the building of such a family. We should be considerate and understanding. We should love and show concern for each other. We should striv

44、e to establish a happy family. After all, if every family is happy, the whole society will be stable. 8.Jobs and Occupations People In China young people usually want to be engineers, doctors, businessmen, etc. and few want to be teachers. Unlike most young people I decide to be a teacher. There are

45、 many reasons for my personal preference but generally they come down to three major ones. First, I was born in a teachers family and so I was greatly influenced by my father. Second, I find that education is important because it is the basis of science and technology and if a countrys education is

46、backward, its science and technology will never be advanced. Third, teachers are needed in our country, especially in the countryside. However, it is not easy to be a qualified teacher. A qualified teacher must have a good command of his specialty. Besides, he should be responsible and devoted to th

47、e educational cause. Most important of all, he should be patriotic. To be a qualified teacher in the future I must lose no time to acquire as much knowledge as possible. Furthermore I must know the history of our country so as to cultivate patriotism. 9.People Nowadays young people tend to rush into

48、 independence, many of them leave home to study or work while still in their teens,they might adapt the social ill. 10.Shopping For a great day of handicrafts shopping, you can check out the Ilalim ng Tulay market, next to Quinta Market on Carlo Palanca St, Quiapo or the variety of handicraft places

49、 at Nayong Pilipino (Philippine Village). If time do not permit you to go around the country, good souvenirs shopping can be done at SM departmental store at the Makati Commercial Center and Landmark on Makati Ave. The El Amanecer building at General Luna St. in Intramuros also house a few shops selling handicrafts. In this building, among the many popular shops are Silahis, which sells art and crafts, Chang Rong that sells antiques and Galeria de las I
