TheEmperorspenthourseverymorninggettingdressed.Mid-morning,heinvariablychangedintosomethingmoreformalforhisshortmeetingswithhisofficialsandadvisors.Hewouldchangeagainforlunch,andthenagainforarestintheafternoon.Hejusthadtochangefordinnerandthenagainfortheevening!

第一场

骗子甲：Couldwe?CouldwefooltheEmperorwholovesnewclothes?（theyaskedthemselves.）

骗子乙：Letstry,

旁白：TheylefttheirhomesandtravelledtotheEmperorscityandappliedtomeettheEmperor.

骗子甲:Itisaslightasair,amostwonderfulfabric.

皇帝：Thereisagrandparadeinthecityintwoweekstime,Ineedanewoutfitforit.Canonebereadyintime?

骗子甲：Ohyes,yourMajesty。Butthereisaproblem.Theclothisveryexpensivetomake.

（大臣把两骗子领到织布机旁，骗子作出衣的样子）

骗子乙：OhwiseChamberlain，Nowyoucanseewhyitismagical.Onlythetrulycleverandbrilliantcanseethecloth.Mostpeoplewouldseeanemptyloom,butaclevermanlikeyouwillseeourwonderfulcloth.
