Translation Competence is also one of the most important domains in Translatology, and how to enhance college students translation abilities is closely related to the curriculum of translation teaching. Therefore, the research on Translation Competence is of great importance to the improvement on the quality of translation teaching.Translation course, one of the main contents of the undergraduate education for English majors, is also the important way of training translation talents. Nowadays, the eastern and western theories of translation have carried out the study of Translation Competence, and the research results has been introduced into the Translation Teaching research, which has obtained remarkable achievements. The central task of translation teaching is to cultivate students translation competence and teach them how to effectively complete translation work, so how to improve the students translation competence is a problem to be resolved in translation. To enhance students ability to translate, scholars will first study the definition of Translation Competence and Translation Competence models, the system of Translation Competence and the scientific and systematic research methods, and apply the results to the BTI (Bachelor of Translation and Interpretation) Curriculum of domestic universities so as to strengthen the cultivation of students translation competence and promote the development of Translation studies in China. In a sense, the cutting-edge foreign studies of Translation Competence (empirical research) have a great reference value in China. The research of Translation Competence plays an important role in translation teaching, cultivating students Translation Competence is the ultimate goal of translation teaching. However, those problems, such as what is the contents which contained in Translation Competence, how to arrange courses to improve college students translation abilities, have been pushed into the spotlight. To resolve this problem, first of all, it is important to figure out the concepts and components of Translation Competence and develop the teaching activities.Translation Study is a very important branch in foreign language teaching research, while Translation Competence is a crucial element in translation field. How to effectively improve the college students translation competence is closely related to translation teaching curriculum, and translation teaching should be based on the study of the translators translation competence.As the core of translation studies, Translation Competence has become one of western translation frontier research fields. In the past 20 years, the west has studied and developed an empirical research of translation model, through the constant innovation and exploration.
