(4) set red for continuous recording.(5) set green for motion recording.4-5 hdd setup press to select items, use to enter, setup.press menu to exit and save data.(1) overwrite enabled: enable overwrite when hdd capacity is full:yes: overwrite every four hoursno: stop recording(2) hdd status indicates current hdd status, including total capacity and percentage of space being used.(3) hdd format：when choose this item, dvr will request for password.a) if the password is correct, the system will display a message showing the hard disk is during overwriting. after overwriting is completed, it returns to hdd setup.b) when the password is incorrect, it displays wrong password and then returns to the hdd setup.factory default password: 111111.hdd must be formatted before installation, replacement & re-installation.4-6 system restore press to restore the default settings, press menu to exit.5. view control(1) following view control can be applied to monitor images from different cameras. camera #1 (ch1), return to four-picture mode when press again.camera #2 (ch2), return to four-picture mode when press again.camera #3 (ch3), return to four-picture mode when press again.camera #4 (ch4), return to four-picture mode when press again.(2) when press , ptz is on. the screen will switch to different channels by every press. the screen starts from ch1 to ch2, ch3 to ch4. from ch4，it returns to four-picture mode by one more press. 6. playback control1) press u , and the system shows the recorded period.2) press menu, system will convert to search time mode(1) playback by event record list:press choose the event, then press u to play. device enters monitor mode once record play is completed press menu during playback will enter usb backup mode.(2) playback at preset time: use and to change time and date, when the time/date is set, press to play. press menu to exit.3) event list:(1) time: the dvr automatically records and saves events every four hours. (2) motion: motion event will be recorded in the list4) playback:(1) press button for fast forward. press one more time for faster speed. total three variable speeds.(2) press button for fast backward. press one more time for faster speed and total three variable speeds. (3) press button to pause.(4) press button to stop playback. 7. usb backuppress menu can convert to backup mode during video playback press to setup start time, press to setup end time（after setting up both start and end time, the device will indicate the size of the file. press or rec to start backup. press stop to exit8. record control(1) press key to start recording. recording will be indicated on the left bottom of the screen which indicates recording is in process.(2) press on remote controller, mute is displayed and there will be no sound. the system returns to normal by another press.9. 4ch continuous recording hardware capacity requirement following calculation is only for reference, the data may change with video change ratio. (3) during playback, click pause at the time the needed screen displayed.(4) during “pause”, right-click the mouse and select capture/mark in to set the picture as the end time.(5) right-click the mouse, select capture/export and save the data.3) convert file to avi format(1) right-click the mouse and chooseexport/avi.(2) set input / output file, compression, output channel and audio.(3) click ok to start converting file to avi format.4) options(1) right-click the mouse then select option(2) always on top：the window always stays on top.(3) use directdraw：strengthen picture by directdraw of directx of microsoft. better picture quality will be obtained by this function. do not select if your video card does not support directx.(4) show playback time：display the length of playback time.(5) repeat playback (6) on screen display date/time format：display date/time.(7) path for still capture：directory and path of the file. 11. new device installation and power-on test 1) preparationplease prepare following tools before start test:(1) cross screwdriver(2) wire stripping tool, insulating tape, multimeter. considering stability, electric iron and soldering tin are also recommended. 2) install hard disk1-take out the hard disk from device, and place it on the table.notice: new device is unlocked and you can take it out easily. if you have installed it, please open it by key. 2-, 3-,lose the four screws by crossscrewdriver and take off the top cover.4-put the 4 pieces of copper screw in the four holes on 2.5 inch hard disk. 5-connect the harddisk cable. please make sure the pins and holes are matched exactly and the pins are completely inserted to the holes.6- insert the four copper screws in
