the birth parents, adoptive parents or dependents, but also other family members such as: sister, brother, relatives, elders and so on. 3.1.2 the definition of parent involvement in educationparent involvement in education has not a fixed meaning, and different people have different understanding of it. so, it has still no a clear, widely accepted definition or expression, and consider it as parental involvement, parent involvement, parent participation, parent-teacher collaboration and so on. as ma zhonghu said in the home-school cooperation”, the united states advanced problem student researcher j. a. vandergrift and arizona state university morrison institute for public policy-based research consultant a. j. green pointed out that people are the most common parental involvement in education is a perception that parents actively participate in school-sponsored activities (such as parent meetings), or other ways that people can observed to help children learning (as read with their parents, help children with homework). american scholar lombardo further pointed out that, broadly speaking, parents involvement in education is all education activities which directly or indirectly affect their children (students). there are scholars believe that parental involvement is home-school education based on mutual cooperation and communication between parents and schools, so that children can receive two different kinds of complementary educational influence at the same time. the formation of a variety of necessary qualities will help the children to benefit from it and better socialize themselves. though there is no strict definition on the concept of parents involved in education, however, we can still be able to understand it from the following areas and grasp: two-way activity, parents should support school education, and schools should make the necessary guidance to parents: at the same time between parents and schools is an equal partnership; (3) parent involvement in education always be centers students healthy development and growth, promote the healthy development of students and make it as the ultimate goal of parental involvement in education.3.2 the studies of parent involvement in educationcurrently, the u.s. parent involvement in education research related to three areas: descriptive studies, at-risk studies, and outcome-based education into three different categories: parents because of the lack of emotion, poor student achievement, and students rather than the urgent needs of life and willing not to participate in school education: the other is the parents involved in school education too much, an attempt to dominate the school, to meet their desire for power; most parents between these two part can not only
