the embodiment of values in education background: many chinese students struggle for an opportunity to enroll in foreign universities , but what is it actually like and what is the differences. recently, when i made my ppt, i find there are many differences about the educations among different countries .so , i would like to find the reasons. when i read some books and do an online research , i think values , attitudes , and behavioral patterns of the general culture have an directly effect on educations . but the fundamental reason is the values .the values are infiltrating into all aspects of educations and affect the whole links in the chain of education .for this reason ,i want to talk about something about the embodiment of values in education . education is culture , and different educations show different societies culture . meanwhile the values are the quintessence of culture .in generally , education includes many aspects, including school education , family education and social education .and every part has an important responsibility . now , i would like to talk these three parts . school education the education of the most important part of individual education in a man whose personal life in a man whose personal life is school education .in the schools ,everyone accepts the guidance of the planning system ,studies the cultural knowledge and social norms ,ethics and values . “the school education in a certain sense , determines the level and nature of personal socialization . and personal socialization is an important base of individual socialization.” school educations are got more and more attentions , play a decisive role in society. ear of knowledge economy requires social respect for teachers .meanwhile, the role of the teacher , modes of learning , teacher-student interaction patterns , and norms of interaction are very important. now , we make some comparisons between china and america . chinas education by the influence of confucianism, advocating rules, a day of life for the teacher to the father .the western culture takes individual as a focus paying great attention to individual freedom and right., their education natural also have a “free” characteristics . in the elementary and middle schools , china and america have different ideas of educations ,so the ways of educations are different . the biggest difference is that : china would lay particular stress on the force-feeding education . the foundations of chinese students is very solid , and this is not only advantages ,but also disadvantages . students is always facing textbooks , by the teacher to teach ,request , memory , deserve to go up again problem sets deepen , to the examination score evaluates results . in classes , chinese class has a obvious discipline , students dont just walk free speech ,and teachers teacher is also rich a regularity .and this is a result of the confucian education thoughts influenced .but , the american middle and primary school class are quite contrary .students can interrupt at any time the teachers lecture and asking questions .if students think their teachers idea is wrong , they can point to be refuted . students have a strong autonomy and freedom .chinese use the “i speak , you listen ” type , but american use the “ you do , i help ” .so ,when they face some new problems , chinese students have cower psychology and lack of innovation .however ,american students have innovation thinking ,and can solve problems independently well. american education system values the all-round development of students , communication with people ,social activities of ability and training students team consciousness ; but at home test scores and self-development are more important for them . through these comparisons , we can not simply judge which is better .we just say that “different education systems is suitable for different social environments. but worth thinking is, if in accordance with the actual situation in china , under the premise of introducing american colleges and universities scientific research management systems, advanced thoughts and ideas, can better cultivate students innovative thinking.” break the rules of the so-called, emancipating the mind, to create something new.family education “ no matter which country you come from, what nationality you belong to all think the family is a persons first school, and the parent is the first teacher. either china or western countries, either the ancient times or the modern times, family education is always in the most fundamental position .” family environment to the childs character has very big effect. the values of their parents direct impact on the childrens values . the parents are childs models , usually a simple movement is more effective than the inculcation of ten thousand instructions . however, the traditional family education in china, on account of the respective differences in more aspects is different from that in the west . they have their own characteristics between regions and cultures . the function of chinas family education is forced by the chinas traditional culture. the chinese traditional confucian culture emphasize “the cultivation of ones moral character, the running of ones family, the administration of a state, the peace and security of the world”. in this directional thought, the family education is bestowed on the direct social significance. in addition, the chinese traditional culture also regards the family education and childrens individual growth as the direct correlative causes and effects. the chinese parents care about the reputation in educating the child, thinking educating the child to become a useful person is their achievement, but if not, the parents feel shameful. the educations goal is for earning their living, for honor . maybe children become a politician, a millionaire, but they lost a lot. yet, what the western culture grasps is knowledge, the family mainly arouses the childs the curiosity about and the imagination of nature. as we all know knowledge creation comes from curiosity. so parents by making children interested in the nature and fairy stories, let the children have a broader imagination space, so as to help the knowledge creation. in addition, they regard the psychological development as the highest direction, so the cultivation of childs interest and the creativity is the main point of western family education. however, western education the emphasis on personalized , making some children too strong personality , it is difficult to integrate into society.from what has been discussed above, we may see that either the chinese tradition of family education or that of the western family education tradition has its own strong points, they all take root in respective traditional cultural soil. we should reject the dross and absorb the cream of them, advance the family educational modernization instantaneously.social education “ broader social education refers to education of all social life affect the personal development; the narrow sense refers to the school all the cultural and educational facilities other than education, youth, children and adults a variety of educational activities. 现代社会教育是学校教育的重要补充。modern society education is an important complement to school education. 不同社会制度的国家或政权,实施不同性质的社会教育。 countries or regimes of different social systems , the implementation of the different nature of social education.” in different countries the form of social education is substantially the same , and the difference are the values. in the united states , they are always saying that: “what accounts is what you do ,not who you are.”people try to prove their worth as human beings through their achievements. and they get achievements by working hard and competition , not your family or background . americans are also distinctive in the degree to which they believe in the ideal ,as stated in their declaration of independence ,that “ all men are created equal” . the education of fairness, flexibility, and highly developed economy is not divided. in china , its the same value. but , in recent years, a popular word: my father is li
