AimsAims:Although the students have known something about body language in the first three periods, they may not aware that there may be differences. At the same time,the students can improve their self-learning ability by doing so。 Teaching ProceduresTeaching Procedures ( (课堂设计与教学环节课堂设计与教学环节) ) Step 1. Lead- in Step 2. Presentation Step 3. Homework Step 1 Lead-in(导入) 1.Listen to a song 2.Let students write down some words, phrases, sentences about action 3.Talk about ways of communication 4.Get the topic-body language In order to arouse the students interest in the unit and make them eager to know the importance of body language and popularity in our daily life . I use a song to start the class, because music can Stimulate students interest. And it can practice students listening skills. purpose Step 2 presentation 1.Show some pictures about facial expressions 2. Let students use some words to describe 3.Then we can get some old words they have learned 4. I will show some new words about it and learn them together 1.Give them 3 minutes to discuss in pairs and conclude some words about peoples feeling. 2.Volunteers show their production. 3.Summarize them In this part, I use pictures to present the points of facial expressions, pictures can be more attractive for students. And students can recall the knowledge they had learned and learn new knowledge. purpose Step 3 brainstorming 1.I will do some gestures and invite some students to guess their meanings 2.Students do some new gestures discuss together 3.Show some pictures about gesture 4. Talk about what situation we will use them purpose 1.Do a matching about gestures and theirs meaning in China. 2.Game (divide students into some groups and do a game about body language) Step 4 practice students do some exercises according to what they leant can strengthen their understanding of knowledge and learn to use them For example , making up new sentences by the knowledge they learnt and practice in the class. . At last they can master them. purpose Step 5 production Summarize the language points of body language . By this part, students themselves can produce something , and have a review of this class about body language. purpose Step 6 homework 检查教学效 果 1.Make a list of facial expressions and gestures and their meanings weve learned today. 2.
