In the 21st century, the influx of large amounts of information era, the relationship between reading and our daily life is more closely. It doesnt just appear in the tests, but also in the English articles, English magazines, television and Internet etc. Read is one of the quickest ways to get information. In fact, the development of modern society is largely dependent on the ability to communicate through reading. For study, work, entertainment, and daily life, all walks of life have to do a lot of reading without exception. It can be said that reading ability directly affects a persons study, work efficiency, achievement and overall quality of life. Today, in an increasingly globalized, English has used in international communication and become the main language used in the modern computer and network. Reading ability is one of the basic skills which English learners must master, and it also has become an important part in English examination. So the main purpose of college English teaching is to cultivate students reading ability.In CET4 and CET6, the score of reading comprehension accounts for about 40% of the total score. To a certain extent, doing the reading comprehension well is directly related to students English test score. Moreover, English reading can help students to maintain a lasting interest of learning foreign languages. It can not only consolidate and deepen the knowledge which students have obtained, but also can improve the students comprehensive ability of using languages. Besides, it also can develop students intelligence, and broaden their horizons. In many cases, reading is the purpose that we learn a foreign language. It is impossible for us to grasp a foreign language if we dont improve our reading ability.2、本选题国内外的研究现状综述At present，abroad research on dyslexia is mainly to treat it as a kind of disease in childhood. Dyslexia disease, which rate is 5% to 10%, has been adopted by the 10th of International Diseases Classification made by World Health Organization. However, the research on English dyslexia is rare in the case that readers physiological factors have no adverse effects on reading. While under the situation of treating English as a foreign language to teach, the research on English dyslexia is even less.In the domestic, some teachers and scholars have made primary studies on English dyslexia and published some articles and theses about it. For examples, A Study on Obstacles of English Reading Comprehension to college student published by Gu Lihong, A Study on Learning Difficulties in English Reading Comprehension of Non-English Majors and Teaching Strategies published by Ma Jinhai who is from College of Educational Science of Northwest Normal University etc. All these articles and theses conclude that the main obstacles in English reading are vocabulary, syntax, discourse, background knowledge, reading habits, reading strategies, reading methods and psychological aspects. And the above articles and theses also put forward some teaching strategies at last. But researches conducted by these teachers and scholars mainly treated college students and junior middle school students as research objects.
