Unit 1Stay Healthy Lesson 1Whats Wrong,Danny? 教学整体设计【教学目标】1.能够正确理解并运用以下单词examination,stomach,regret,fever,pale,pain,Xray并能熟练记忆;能够听懂并能说以下句子:I dont feel well.You look pale.Youll be all right.How are you feeling?2.能够听懂用情态动词should来讲述的句子。能够听懂并简单表达一些关于生病的对话。3.理解课文意思并能回答课后的问题。4.能够在小组活动中与其他同学积极配合完成学习活动,进一步培养学生热爱生活、热爱学习的积极情感。5.学生分角色表演对话。【教学重难点】重点:掌握文中重点短语regret doing sth.后悔做某事,get/have a(high)fever发(高),get dressed穿衣服,take an Xray照X光;能准确应用本课中的词汇examination,stomach,regret,fever,pale,pain,Xray。难点:能准确应用本课中的句型I dont feel well.You look pale.Youll be all right.How are you feeling?能听懂课后的听力材料。【课前准备】多媒体,黑板,录音机教学过程设计 教学过程一、创设情境,切入主题Step 1:Warming upT:Hello,everybody.When you dont feel well,what do you usually do?Ss:I usually tell my parents and ask them to take me to the hospital.T:Whats your feeling when you are sick?Ss:I feel quite bad.It seems that Im going to die.T:If you dont feel well,what should you do first?Ss:Go to the hospital or visit a doctor.T:Your ideas are very wonderful!I think you can do the right decision when you dont feel well.OK,now lets look at how Danny deals with his illness.设计意图:新课开始,教师通过设计几个学生感兴趣的问题导入新课,以调动他们学习的积极性。二、展开过程,探究新知Step 2:Presentation1.Teacher shows the words with PPT,and each PPT with a picture stands for a word we are going to learn:stomach,regret,fever,pale,pain,Xray and then explain the meanings and the usages of these words.2.Give the students five minutes to remember the words.And then the teacher picks out one of them.Let students spell and read them one by one.设计意图:教师以PPT的形式学习新单词并单个记忆,学生记得快。3.The students read the text by themselves.Give the students several minutes to remember the dialogue,then role play the dialogue.Find out the main phrases and sentences in the dialogue.Step 3:DrillAsk students to read the text again and do Exercise 1 and Exercise 2 on Page 3.设计意图:学生反复听磁带并跟读。第一次听,要求学生大概理解对话的意思。第二次听,改为一句一句听,仔细听出每句话的内容。第三次听完成上面的问题。通过反复听磁带并跟读培养学生们听说的能力。Step 4:Explain the whole dialogue1.Explain the meaning of the whole dialogue sentence by sentence,help the students remember the main phrases and the main sentences.(1)What is the worst illness youve ever had?你曾经得过最严重的病是什么?worst是bad/ill/badly的最高级,在此处是bad的最高级。ever adv.用于否定句、疑问句、条件状语从句,意为“曾经;在任何时候”,与at any time同义。I hardly ever see him nowadays.我近来很少见到他。(2)Its 3:00 a.m. Danny wakes up his parents.凌晨3点,丹尼叫醒了他的父母。wake up 醒来,把某人吵醒,叫醒I tried to wake up my wife by ringing the doorbell,but she was fast asleep.我试图按门铃唤醒我的妻子,但是她睡得很香。提示:wake up是一个由动词和副词构成的词组。当其宾语是名词时,名词可以放在wake up中间,也可以放在wake up的后面;但当宾语是代词时,代词必须放在wake up中间。(3)My stomach hurts.我肚子痛。stomach n.胃,肚子,腹vt.忍受,容忍。复数形式是stomachs。hurt v.使受伤,使伤痛Many people were hurt when a bus and a truck collided.一辆公共汽车和一辆卡车相撞,许多人受伤了。(4)You are sick,arent you?你病了,不是吗?本句是一个反意疑问句。反意疑问句通常由一个陈述句和一个简短的疑问句组成。当陈述句为肯定句时,疑问句为否定;当陈述句为否定句时,疑问句为肯定。但是下面几点需要注意:陈述部分带有hardly,never,few,little,nothing等否定词或半否定词时,疑问部分动词用肯定形式。Few people know him,do they?很少有人知道他,不是吗?如果陈述部分的否定词是带否定前缀或后缀的派生词,应看作肯定句,疑问部分为否定形式。He was unsuccessful,wasnt he?他没有成功,不是吗?(5)We should go to the hospital.我们应该去医院。should意为“应该”,后面跟动词原形。它用于多种句式,通常指将来。You should do what your teachers tell you.你应该照你老师们的话做。Should I open the door?我应该开门吗?You shouldnt sit in the sun.你不应该坐在阳光下。(6)Danny needs to stay in the hospital tonight.今晚丹尼需要待在医院里。need用法“大舞台”表示“需要”,作实义动词用时,有人称和数的变化,后接名词、代词、带to的不定式、动名词等。He needs some help.他需要一些帮助。He needs to look after the old man.他需要照顾这位老人。The bike needs mending/to be mended.这辆自行车需要修理一下。拓展:主语需要发出某一动作用不定式的主动语态;主语需要接受某一动作用动名词或不定式的被动语态。即:人needto do;物needdoing;物needto be done。表示“需要”,作情态动词时,后接动词原形,多用于疑问句和否定句中,疑问句答语表肯定用must;表否定用neednt,dont have to。Need I come tomorrow?明天我需要来吗?Yes,you must/have to.是的,你必须来。No,you neednt/dont have to.不,你不用必须来。He neednt worry about his son.他不必为他的儿子担心。提示:need用作动词时,在肯定句中只能作行为动词用,后面可以跟名词、代词、动词不定式等作宾语。在否定、疑问和条件句中既可用作行为动词,也可用作情态动词。设计意图:让学生能抓住文中重点词汇,善于归纳。2.Practice.教师在大屏幕上呈现一些本节课的相关练习。三、布置作业Make up a dialogue,one character is the doctor and the other is the patient.You can use the expressions in Questio
