(v.拥有) 2)This is my own car.= This is a car of my own.=Im the owner of this car.(own adj.属于某人自己的 owner n. 物主,所有者)练习互查一定语从句:在复合句中修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。1) 定语从句的位置:放在被修饰词的后面。如:The man who has an umbrella in his hand is my uncle. (手上拿着一把雨伞的人是我的叔叔。)2) 相关语法术语:被修饰的名词或代词称为先行词;引导定语从句的连接词称为关系词,其中that、which、who(宾格whom,,所有格whose)称为关系代词,where、when、why称为关系副词。关系代词和关系副词放在先行词及定语从句之间起连接作用,同时又作定语从句的重要成分。3) 关系代词的用法(在从句中作主语或是宾语) that 既可以用于指人,也可以用于指物。在从句中作主语或宾语,作主语时不可省略,作宾语可省略。如:Can you give me anything that has no sugar inside?(that作主语,指物)能不能给我点里面没有糖的东西?The coat (that) I put on the desk is blue.(that作宾语,指物) 我放在桌子上的外套是蓝色的。 Who is the man that is reading the book over there? (that作主语,指人) 在那边看书的那个人是谁?The girl (that) we saw yesterday is Jims sister. (that作宾语,指人) 我们昨天看到的女孩是吉姆的妹妹。 which用于指物,在句中作主语或宾语,作主语不可省略,作宾语可省略。如: The building which stands near the train station is a supermarket.(which作主语) 位于火车站附近的建筑物是一个超市。The film (which) we saw last night was wonderful.(which作宾语) who, whom用于指人,who 用作主语,不可省略;whom用作宾语,可以省略。在口语中,who也可以作宾语。如:The girl who often helps me with my English is from England.(who作主语)Toms father was the first parent whom our teacher talked to. (whom作宾语)Tom的父亲是我们老师第一个谈话的人。 whose用来指人或物, 只用作定语,如:They rushed over to help the man whose car had broken down. (whose做定语,指人)他们冲过去帮助那个汽车坏了的男人。Look out! Dont get too close to the house whose roof is under repair. (whose做定语,指物)小心!不要太过靠近那个屋顶在修葺的房子。二定语从句练习把下列每对句子合并成含有定语从句的主从复合句:1. The fan is on the desk. You want it.2. The man is in the next room.
