江苏省外语口语/口译证书英语考试大纲一、考试目的与意义 为了促进英语口语在江苏省的普及与提高,创造更好的人文环境、投资环境、旅游观光环境和优质服务环境,适应入世后江苏对外开放和经济发展的需要,为江苏培养更多外语人才,让江苏走向世界,更好地参与国际竞争,江苏省人力资源和社会保障厅与南京大学外国语学院共同设计了江苏省外语口语/口译证书英语考试。该考试旨在为江苏省国家机关、企事业单位、学校、公司、涉外服务单位培养一批能够使用英语口语从事基本日常交际、服务、外事接待、陪同翻译、各种涉外交流以及研讨活动的专门人才,同时也满足社会上英语口语能力鉴定和人才市场的需求。二、考试性质本考试是以全体公民为对象的非学历性英语口语/口译证书考试,性质为标准参照性考试。通过口语/口译考试者,可获得相应级别的江苏省英语口语/口译等级证书。三、考试对象该考试对象主要面向社会各行各业人员,包括居民、企事业单位人员、在职职工、各级各类学校的在校学生等,不受年龄、职业、居住地以及受教育程度的限制。四、报考条件凡具有一定英语基础者均可报名参加考试。五、考试时间与命题 江苏省外语口语/口译证书英语考试每年举行两次,时间分别为5月和11月。考试由南京大学外国语学院及南京大学英语口语研究所统一命题。六、考试形式 本考试采取录音口试的形式,在指定的语言实验室进行。考生按录音提示完成答题,考试全程录音。七、考试等级 本考试参考了大学英语口语考试(CET-SET)、大学英语专业口语考试、托福口语考试(TSE)和全国公共英语等级考试(PETS)、雅思考试(IELTS)、剑桥商务英语考试(BEC)等国内外权威英语考试的口试部分,并根据江苏省用人单位的要求对题型和难易度做出相应调整。本考试分为初级口语、中级口语、高级口语和高级口译四个级别,每个级别分优秀、良好、合格三个等第。证书等第由测试组根据考生的考试成绩决定。八、考试题型与内容:英语口语考试采取录音考试的形式,主要考察考生的口语表达能力。考试题型见下表:初级口语题型热身练习短文朗读情景问答看图说话分值供参考30%30%40%中级口语题型热身练习短文理解情景问答看图叙事分值供参考30%30%40%高级口语题型热身练习复述短文事件转述话题评论分值供参考30%30%40%具体内容和要求如下:初级口试:1)热身练习:用录音提问考生本人的有关情况,共3个问题,每一问题提问两遍,之后有一短暂答题时间,约15秒。该练习旨在让考生做好准备,不计入总分,答题情况供参考。2)短文朗读:朗读一篇200词左右、难度相当于初三、高一课文的短文,考生先用一分钟时间准备,然后在两分钟内朗读完。3)情景问答:模拟日常生活中5个场景提出问题(如问路、邀请、征求意见等),每一问题提问两遍,考生在20-30秒内回答。4)看图说话:考生根据看到的图画,并根据就此画提出的3个问题(每一问题提问两遍),用一分钟时间准备,然后在一分半钟内用连贯的英语描述图画,描述的内容必须包括对3个问题的回答。中级口试:1)热身练习:询问有关考生本人的一些情况,共3个问题,每一问题重复两遍,之后有一短暂答题时间,约15秒,共计两分钟左右。该练习旨在让考生做好准备,不计入总分,答题情况供参考。2)短文理解:考生用两分钟时间看一篇200字左右的知识性短文,然后回答根据短文提出的三个问题(每一问题提问两遍),每题的答题时间为30-40秒。 3)情景问答:模拟日常生活中5个场景提出问题(如问路、邀请、征求意见等),每一问题提问两遍,考生在20-30秒内回答。4)看图叙事:考生用一分半钟时间看一组画面,然后根据画面在两分钟内叙述一个完整的故事。高级口试:1)热身练习:提问考生3个问题,之后有一短暂答题时间,约15秒,共计两分钟左右。该练习旨在让考生做好准备,不计入总分,答题情况供参考。2)复述短文:听一篇短故事,然后将故事内容复述一遍。预留答题时间为3分钟。3)事件转述:阅读一篇提供的素材,然后将材料中的主要内容用转述的口气告诉他人。有3分钟的时间准备,预留答题时间是3分钟。4)话题评论:先阅读提供的一段文章,然后对短文中的内容和观点进行评价,并阐述你的观点。有4分钟的时间准备,预留答题时间为3分钟。九、考试评分:考试评分由南京大学外国语学院和南京大学英语口语研究所组织专家根据录音评分。十、证书颁发考试通过者,获得相应级别的江苏省外语口语/口译证书,该证书由江苏省人力资源和社会保障厅颁发,盖有江苏省人力资源和社会保障厅和南京大学外国语学院的印章。Oral English Certificate Examination (Elementary Level)(Sample)江苏省外语口语/口译证书英语考试(初级)(样卷)This exam asks you to complete four tasks in English: (I) answer three simple questions; (II) read a passage aloud; (III) answer three questions; and (IV) describe what you see in a picture.Task I: Answering Simple QuestionsA tape will pose three questions about you. It allows fifteen 15 seconds for you to respond to each. You will hear each question ONLY ONCE. Please speak loudly and clearly, so the equipment can record your voice. Now, lets begin.Question 1: Whats your name?Question 2: Where do you come from?Question 3: What is your job?Task II: Reading AloudPlease read the following a passage aloud. You will have ONE minute to prepare and TWO minutes to complete your reading. Please speak loudly and clearly, so the equipment can record your voice. Time ZonesIf you travel far, either east or west, you will notice that strange things happen to your sense of time. Your watch and body may tell you it is early morning, for example, while the sun sets below the horizon. Twenty-four time zones divide the earth into an equal number of hours. Travel across these zones adds or subtracts hours to or from days.If you cross the Atlantic Ocean in five days,your ship enters a different time zone every day. The time changes one hour with each zone you enter. Traveling west, you set your clock back; traveling east, you set it ahead. Each day of your trip has either twenty-five or twenty-three hours.If you travel by ship across the Pacific,you cross the international date line. By agreement, this marks a new days beginning. The Yangtze River and the Jing-Hang (京杭) Grand Canal cross the province, one from west to east and the other from north to south. Han (汉), Hui (回), Manchu (满), and other ethnic groups occupy Jiangsus 100,000 square kilometers. Their populations total 73.54 million. Shandong (山东) borders Jaingsu to the north, Anhui (安徽) to the west, and Shanghai (上海) and Zhejiang (浙江) to the south.An annual average temperature ranging from 13to 16C renders Jiangsus climate semi-humid and temperate. At the end of the first week they knocked at the old mans house and asked to be paid. He did so. The second week when they asked for payment he said he had run out of money and sent them away with only 15 pence.
