It played an important role in supporting the CISAR team in domestic and international humanitarian aid mission. Especially, in the rescue mission after Wenchuan Earthquake, NERSS won the praise and recognition from the local peoples and governments at different levels by its excellent performance. Besides, NERSS has been cooperating with some international counterparts, like Switzerland, Germany, Netherland and Singapore, etc. in the area of emergency management and search & rescue training. NERSS has many experienced experts, capable teaching staffs and updated training facilities and equipments such as classroom, training stations, computerized-multimedia facilities, internet service, guesthouse and canteen, sport fields etc, which will meet the various training needs.Seminar ContentThe contents of the Seminar include the introduction of Chinese and international practices and stories in crisis management and emergency response. Especially, recent experience and lessons learn from the 2008 disastrous Wenchuan Earthquake will be shared among Chinese experts and foreign counterparts. In addition, the seminar will also introduce Chinas disaster management system, earthquake disaster monitoring and early warning system, the legal framework of disaster prevention and reduction, structure damage assessment, disaster response mechanism and its response to Wenchuan Earthquake, spatial technology in Wenchuan Earthquake, China USAR teams operation in the Wenchuan relief mission, general information of Wenchuan Earthquake, and the relevant topics of the big earthquake. In the meanwhile, the way of combination of theory lecturing and field visits will be implemented during the Seminar. The participants will have chance to visit some earthquake a
