We now call to mind the needs of our community as we turn to the Lord in prayer.1. We pray for all leaders in our Church, particularly our Bishop, Peter, and pray that their leadership will be wise and inspired by the Holy Spirit. We pray to the Lord.Response: Lord hear our prayer.2. We pray for the leaders of nations throughout the world today and pray that they will make decisions that protect the dignity of all people and safeguard peace and justice in our world. We pray to the Lord. R3. We pray for the Catholic school communities in the diocese of Wollongong and pray that they will continue to be places of faith, hope and love, ensuring that the truth of the Gospel is proclaimed loud and clear. We pray to the Lord. R4. We pray for the newly commissioned Diocesan Schools Council, new Principals and beginning teachers and pray that they will be enthusiastic models of the Gospel through their words and deeds. We pray to the Lord. R5. We pray for the sick and lonely in our community and pray that their suffering and isolation will be consoled by the love and mercy of God. We pray to the Lord. R6. We pray for those who have died and those who are mourning in our community and pray that everlasting life and peace will be theirs. We pray to the Lord.
