Let Ss introduce the history of basketball. . Lead in 1. Ask Ss which invention they like best. Ss think about their favorite inventions. 2. Let some Ss talk about their favorite inventions. . Thinking 1. Ask Ss what things they dont like to do. Eg: Problem: quickly taking notes in class. 2. Discuss in group and think of an invention that could help you. Eg: New invention: a special pen What it is used for: taking notes quickly in class 3. Ss discussing the problems and try to make their own notes. 4. Let some Ss read their notes to the class. . Writing Work on 3b: 1. Tell Ss to write a description of your new invention. 2. The following sentence structure may help you. 常用句型: (1) I thinkis a very useful invention.
