翻译硕士专业学位英语笔译硕士研究生培养方案Training Program for Master Degree Candidates of English Translation专业代码： 055101 学科门类： 文学（05） Code of Specialty: 0551 Department of Discipline: Literature (05) 一级学科： 翻译硕士 学分要求： 50 First-grade Discipline: Master of Translation and Interpreting Credit Setting: 50 一、学科、专业简介 (Introduction)翻译硕士专业学位（Master of Translation and Interpreting），英文简称MTI，是在遵循翻译学研究生教育一般规律的基础上，根据专业学位教育的特点，通过借鉴、吸收国外高层次翻译专门人才培养的有益经验，为适应我国改革开放和社会主义现代化建设事业发展的需要，促进中外交流，培养高层次、应用型高级翻译专门人才而设立的具有我国特色的专业研究生学位。2007年，国务院学位委员会第二十三次会议审议通过了翻译硕士专业学位设置方案，决定设置翻译硕士专业学位。翻译硕士专业学位（MTI）职业指向性明确，即培养能适应全球经济一体化不断深入及国家国际竞争力不断增强需要，具备熟练的翻译技能和宽广的知识面，能够胜任不同专业领域需要的高层次、应用型、专业性口笔译人才。该专业学位强调培训高水平专业技能和高度的职业道德，综合培养学生独立承担专业领域翻译工作的能力课程设置以职业能力培养为本位，教学大纲设定以理论联系实际为原则，实行校内外双导师制全日制翻译硕士专业学位（MTI）的招生对象为具有国民教育序列大学本科学历（或本科同等学力）人员，具有良好的双语基础。我校外国语学院于2010年9月获得全日制翻译硕士专业学位（MTI）授予权，2011年开始招生。目前，本硕士点共有英语笔译和英语口译2个专业。外国语学院共有导师17人，其中教授8人，副教授9人，师资力量雄厚，指导经验丰富。学院汇聚国内外优质教育资源、依托健全的学术梯队、富有特色的学科方向以及良好扎实的科研基础，近年来取得了卓越的教学和科研成绩。目前拥有1个校级重点学科、1个校级品牌与特色专业、4门精品课程、6门优秀课程，获得2项省级教学优秀成果奖，并承担30多项校级和省级教学研究项目。近三年在核心期刊发表论文百余篇，出版学术专著和译著近20部，获得1项国家社科基金课题和8项省部级科研课题以及12项省市级科研成果奖。学院教学和科研条件先进，目前拥有18个专业多媒体实验室和2个外语调频无线电台，2个现代化数字语言实验室以及其他教学设备，专业图书资料室拥有外文图书1万余册，中文图书5千余册，中外文期刊50余种。同时，学院下设语言学研究所、外语教育研究所和外国文学研究所以及学校设立挂靠外国语学院的翻译研究中心，为学生提供了良好的学习和研究平台。MTI (Master of Translation and Interpreting) is set up to meet the demand for talents in translation and interpreting by observing the basic rules of master-degree education in translation studies, and by adopting related experiences of cultivating specialists both at home and abroad. In 2007, the Academic Degree Committee of the Sate Council passed the Scheme for Master of Translation and Interpreting at its 23rd session, approving to set up MTI. MTI aims to cultivate pragmatic high-level and professional talents who are competent in translation and interpreting at different levels of specialties. MTI focuses on the cultivation of professional ethics as well as professional skills so that the students are qualified with comprehensive abilities to fulfill tasks independently in translation and interpreting. The curriculum of MTI is orientated toward professional competence by applying theories into practice with the guidance of supervisors both on and off campus. Full-time MTI degrees recruit graduates with Bachelors degree (or equivalence of Bachelors degree) granted by colleges and universities falling in National Education Series.QUST School of Foreign Languages was authorized the right to award full-time MTI degrees (one on translation, the other on interpreting) and began to recruit MTI candidates in 2011. There are 17 postgraduate supervisors in School of Foreign Languages, including eight professors and nine associate professors. The supervisors are highly professional and experienced in mentoring postgraduate students. School of Foreign Languages has gathered excellent educational resources both from home and abroad, held the comprehensive academic teams, boasted several distinctive discipline orientations and accumulated good basis of scientific research. Therefore, it has achieved outstanding performance both on teaching and research. Now it has one QUST Key Subject, one QUST Brand and Distinctive Major, four Super-excellent Subjects, and six Excellent Subjects. It has won two provincial teaching achievement awards, undertaken more than thirty QUST and provincial projects on teaching and research. In the past three years, faculties in School of Foreign Languages published more than one hundred academic articles in Core Journals and about twenty academic monographs and translation works, undertook one national social science fund project and eight provincial or ministerial research projects, won twelve provincial or municipal research achievement awards.The facilities and equipments of teaching and research are sophisticated and advanced in School of Foreign Languages. They include 18 multi-media laboratories, 2 modern digital language laboratories, 2 foreign languages radio stations and other modern teaching facilities. There are more than 10,000 books in foreign languages, more than 5,000 books in Chinese and more than 50 kinds of academic and professional journals available in the School Library. There are also several research centers including Research Centers on Linguistics, Research Center on Foreign Languages Education, Research Center on Foreign Literature, and Institute of Translation Studies. They provide good forums for the students to study and research.二、培养目标( Objectives of Training) 本专业旨在培养德、智、体全面发展、具有扎实的专业技能、能适应全球经济一体化及提高国家国际竞争力的需要、适应国家经济、文化、社会建设需要的高层次、应用型、专业化笔译人才。具体要求是：1. 较为全面、扎实地掌握英汉双语听、说、读、写、译等语言基本功；2. 掌握相关翻译领域的基本知识，在英译汉和汉译英两个方面具有很强的翻译实践能力；3. 具有严谨的知识结构、宽广的人文视野和良好的职业素养，了解翻译学、跨文化交际、经贸、法律、科技等相关专业知识，并在某一或数个专门领域具有较强的独立从事实际翻译工作的能力；4. 熟练运用计算机辅助翻译工具进行翻译实践；5. 具有中型翻译项目的设计能力、组织能力、管理能力和评价能力。6. 具有运用所学理论和方法解决文化、科技、商务翻译实践问题的能力。7. 具有良好的思辨能力，能基于翻译实践撰写实践报告或学术论文。To meet the needs of economic globalization and national competitiveness, MT education aims to cultivate high-level, pragmatic, professional talents on translation which are needed by economic development, cultural development and social development of China. The basic requirements are as follows:1. having good command of listening, speaking, reading, writing, translating, and other basic skills in English and Chinese.2. having good command of related knowledge in the field of translating; being skillful in both English-to-Chinese translation and Chinese-to-English translation. 3. holding comprehensive knowledge structure, broad humanity horizon and ethical career spirit, and good command of related knowledge in translation studies and cross-cultural communication, economy and trade, law, science and technology; being competent in translating independently in one or several fields.4. being proficient in conducting translating practice with the computer-aided translation tools.5. being capable of scheming, organizing, operating, and evaluating in the medium-sized translating project.6. being capable of solving problems in the process of translating in various fields like culture, science, commerce, etc.7. having critical and speculative skills, and being capable of writing translation practice reports or academic dissertations. 三、学制及学习年限（Educational System and Length of Schooling）全日制学习，学制2年。课程学习实行学分制，在学期间应修满50学分，其中学位课程23学分，实践与研究环节12学分，选修课15学分。 Full-time study, two years of schooling. This orientation also focuses on the research on the criteria, the principles of translation. Every postgraduate student is required to complete the credits listed in the personal training plan before they come to Intermediate Assessment.The courses of MT contain theory teaching and translation practice. The teachers are required to mentor the translating practice in-depth and monitor the quality of the translation. The faculties have the obligations to create more opportunities for the students to take part in translating practice. In each course, the students are required to conduct translating practice. The total number of translation words should be no less than 100,000 to 150,000 in the two years.七、论文的要求（Thesis Requirements）学位论文写作时间一般为一个学期。学位论文可以采用以下形式（学生任选一种）：1.翻译实习报告：学生在导师的指导下参加笔译实习，并就实习的过程写出不少于15000词的实习报告；2.翻译实践报告：学生在导师的指导下选择中文或英文的文本进行原创性翻译，字数不少于10000汉字，并就翻译的过程写出不少于5000词的实践报告；3.翻译实验报告：学生在导师的指导下就笔译的某个环节展开实验，并就实验结果进行分析，写出不少于15000词的实验报告；4.翻译研究论文：学生在导师的指导下就翻译的某个问题进行研究，写出不少于15000词的研究论文。无论采用上述任何形式，学位论文都须理论与实践相结合，行文格式符合学术规范。One semester is allocated for thesis writing, which can assume one of the following ways:1.
