That boy has fallen ill for a week.(x)这种表达是错误的。,5.In the hospital 是介词短语，表示“在医院里工作或看望病人”，并不表示生病进了医院。当没必要说出所在的医院时，还可以说成in a hospital。而in hospital则表示“生病住院”的意思。如： I stayed in the hospital for almost 10 hours. 我待在医院近10个小时。(表示“我”未必生病） His father is in hospital.他的父亲在住院。（表示“他的父亲”一定患上了某种疾病,2.
