Lead in by greeting and introducing others.T: Good morning/afternoon, boys and girls.Ss: Good morning/afternoon, Mr. /Ms. Wang.Show and play the song “Happy birthday”. T: Whose birthday is it today?S1: Its my birthday today.T: Happy birthday to you! Lets sing the song together!S1: Thank you very much.T: How old are you?S1: Im thirteen years old.T: Im twenty-six years old and my birthday is on June ninth. What about you? .感知体验Step I : Presentation (呈现新知识)1. Present twelve months by showing the photo of a calendar.T: Look at the calendar. Its January. (Point to the calendar and teach the new words.) The teacher writes the words on the blackboard and teaches the class to read.2. T: When is your birthday, Bill? (引导学生用“My birthday is in+月份名词”来回答。)The teacher shows the calendar and presents the new words: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December.3. Work on 1a. Listen and repeat the months.T: Listen to the tape and repeat the words in 1a. Students read and repeat the new words in 1a.Remind the students of the first letters of each word.4. T: My birthday is in May. Its on May 2nd. When we talk about months, we use in; When we talk about dates, we use on.讲解:first(1st), second(2nd), third(3rd) 这些词叫做序数词,表示事物的顺序,在表达日期时用序数词。Step 2: Listening1. Work on 1b. Listen and number the conversations 1-3.2. Listen again and mark the date on the calendar. Ask the students to focus on the prepositions on and the numbers 2nd, 5th and 3rd.3. Tell the students to pay attention to: on用于具体的日期前, 2nd, 5th, 3rd分别是序数词second, fifth, third的缩写形式。 .强化巩固Step I : Practice (呈现新知识)Work on 1c. Practice the conversations above with your partner.Work in pairs and practice the dialogue like this:A: When is your birthday?B: My birthday is on.Ask pairs of students to act out their conversations in class.Step: Number gameThe teacher shows the students the cards with numbers on them but only shows each one every time. Then get a student to speak out the number on it. Step : ListeningStep 1: Work on 2a1. T: Look at the chart below. Find out the rules.2. Play the recording for the students to listen and repeat.3. Let the students remember them.Step 2: Work on 2b. 1. Play the recording for the first time, students only listen. Play the recording again and circle the numbers you hear in 2a.Step 2: Work on 2c. Listen again.
