Unit 6 Section A(1a-2c)教学设计Contest: How long have you been collecting shells ?Teaching aims:1. 知识目标:现在完成进行时的谓语构成及用法,for和since在表示时间时的用法和区别.2. 能力目标:学生能够正确运用how long have /has you/they /he/she been doing ”句型谈论自己及他人的爱好,能够熟练与他人进行交际.3. 情感目标:学生体会英语与生活实际的密切联系,发展合作交流意识.Important and difficult points:学生掌握现在完成时的谓语构成及用法,将其运用到真实生活情景当中, 能够与他人准确流利地进行交际.Teaching aids: media tape-recorderStyle :Listening and speakingTeaching procedures :Step 1 Greetings and warming-upT: Good morning ,everybody.Ss: Good morning, MissT: Hows the weather today? S1: Its sunnyT: What the date today? S2: Its April 9th.T: What day is it today? S3:Its Wednesday.T: Did you have a good rest last night? and How long did you sleep last night?S4: Yes, I did. I slept eight hours last night. 3. Open out the contest and learn the new words of this period.1)Write down “how long on the blackboard ,and say, Today were going to learn Unit 6 How long have you been collecting shells?1a-2c.Write down the title on the blackboard .And show a picture of shells , teacher reads the word shell, students follow. 2)Say ,besides shells , I like to collect many other things .For example, dolls and stamps, show pictures of dolls and stamps ,and read the tow words, students follow for some times .Say, I have many hobbies, like playing basketball, skating, and so on .Show a picture of skating, and teach the words skate (滑冰)and skates(滑冰鞋). Step 2 Leading to the new knowledgeUse two photos of myself to lead : I have been doing sth. for /sinceT :today I am your new English teacher, do you want to know something about me ?Ss: Yes!T: My name is Zuo Jinjie, I like English .I started teaching English in 2002.I am still teaching English now .How long have I been teaching English ? I have been teaching English for 6 years/since 2002. Ask the students to pay attention to since ,explain it and read it ,the students follow three to four times .T: I started playing basketball in 2006.I am still playing basketball now. How long have I been playing basketball? Help students to answer: You have been playing basketball for two years /since 2006.Step 3 Presentation1. Show some famous peoples photos of skating, playing the piano ,and other actions (playing computers, jumping)to practice I have /she or he has /they have been doing sth and how long.(2)Ask students to pay attention to the new word :since, Explain that in these sentences “since” comes before a date and “for” before a period of time .Step 4 While-task 1.Pair work .(1)Ask and answer with partners like this: A: How long have you been skating? B:I have been skating for two years /since 2006/ since I was years old.(2)Ask some pairs to share their conversations .2.Listening 1 SB Page 44 , 1b .(1)Play the recording and get Ss to answer the questions below: How long has Alison been skating? How long has Victor been skating?(2)Correct the answers .(3)Play the recording again and ask students to answer the questions below: How long did Sam skate? How long did Celia skate ?(4)Check the answers .Ask What is the difference between “How long did you skate ?”and “How long have you been skating?” .Explain that “did” question means that the person has stopped doing the action .The “have you been” question shows that the person is continuing to do the action at the present moment .3. Listen 2 SB Page 44 , 2a .(1)Say Alison likes skating very much ,and he is good at it .He just won the skating marathon .A reporter is interview him. Listen to the tape and check which questions you hear .Play the recording for the first time ,and students listen .Then check the answers :(2)Play the recording again ,and ask students to match the answers to the questions the hear .Then check the answers .4.Group work (1)Ask and answer in groups of four like this : Tom: How long have you been running ? Lily: Ive been running for two years/since 2006/ since I was .years old . Ben: How long has Lily been running ? Lana: He/she has been running for 2 years/.(2)Students can use the information below : skating 1 year(since 2007) swimming 3 years(since 2005) playing basketball 4 years(since I was years old) running 2 years(since 2006/ playing soccer 2 years(since 2006) collecting stamps 5years (since 2003) collecting dolls 7 years(since 2001) collecting shells 3 months (3)Ask volunteers to share their conversations. This practice can help students to communicate with others, also, they can practice I have /she/he has been doing something for /since.5. Communication - task (1)Divide the students into some groups of four .Ask each group to choose one reporter .(2)The reporter can go around the classroom to choose one person he or she wants to interview. Ask questions like this :R: Excuse me .May I ask you some questions ?Whats your name please?. . Whats your name?Nancy What do you like doing?skatingHow long have you been_?for seven yearssince 2001since I was.year old(3)The other students interview each other in their own groups .Step 4 Post-taskAfter interviewing ,ask the reporters to give a report about the person he or she interviewed.e.g: I have a (new) friend.
