Answer only, “Yes, it is.” Or “No, it isnt.” For example, begin by saying, “I spy something beginning with the letter ( c ).” When a child guesses correctly, show him or her the piece of paper with the name cat written on it. If the children appear confident in playing this game, allow a child to stand in your place and choose a flashcard.
