The material is provided at the end of the student book. Have the children open their books at page 78 and look at the pictures of the glasses, and the color of green. Encourage the children to practice reading the words. The teacher models the two words, prolonging the /gl/ and /gr/ sound in the words. Have the children repeat after. Play the tape and have the children listen carefully to the difference between the sounds /gl/ and /gr/. Play the tape again and this time have the children repeat.Write the seasons The teacher can prepare a brief introduction of the seasons in different places around the world. Introduce to the children that there might be only two or three seasons in some parts of the world, for example, in some countries in Africa there are only two seasons, dry season and wet season. Ask the children to talk about how many seasons there are in their places, and encourage them to describe what each season is like. Have the children look at the pictures on top of the page and read the texts to decide which season each picture is about.Write the month Have the children look at the six pictures on the bottom of the page. Explain that the pictures illustrate activities Sally does in different months. Ask them what Sally does in each month. Ask the children to talk about their typical activities in different months. Have them write their own puzzles. They can write about both month and season.Listen and check Now have the children look at the pictures on top of page 33. Explain that they are going to listen to a passage about a girl named Amy. Have the children that you are going to play the tape and you want them to check the date mentioned for each person. Play the tape and have the children listen. Then play the tape again and have the children check the correct date.Lets do In this activity the children will choose a special occasion and make a card for it. Tell the children to look at the postcard at the bottom of the page. Explain that this card is designed by a child for Mothers Day. Tell them to work in groups and choose a holiday. Then make a card for that day. When the children finish, have the children read what they write on the card. Put their cards together and make an exhibition.
